How exactly do you check the Ph level of the water im using and the soil. I have a couple of small testing tubes, the testing chart, 2 small bottles of the blue liquid (?), and a bottle of ph down which I brought sperately. Is it as easy as mixing a couple of drops of the blue solution with the water im using, giving it a mix and comparing the colour to the chart ? What about the ph levels in the soil ??
Soil should be 6.3-7.0 for optimum uptake of nutrients.Anything below or above and problems will occur with the health of your plant. To test your soil ph get a La Motte soil test kit,I have provided you a link below.Peace http://www.biconet.com/testing/LaMGarden.html

If you get the la motte you can check individual readings of ph,N,P and K.Well worth the money and are far more accurate.
