The information I have definitely points to them being a couple. Even the bible has a few clues in it. The wedding at Canaa, for instance. Why would Jesus' mother be the one to procure more wine when it was gone? That is the grooms family's responsibility. If she was just a guest, that would be very odd behaviour, and should be noted as such.
Jesus is called Rabbi three times in the Bible, and it was a requirement that one must be married to be a Rabbi, so if he was not, it should have raised questions, and been mentioned. Even if only to explain why He did not have to follow the rules.
Jesus promoted marriage as a good thing, and if He wanted to experience life as a mortal, why would he not do that which he promoted?
The disciples ask Jesus more than once why he confided in her things he did not tell them. She was clearly very close to him.

Jesus is of the order of Melkezidek, as in not that of the Levites (beaing of the tribe of Judah) he was not a "Rabbi" as in Jewish preist, he was "Rabbi" as in Teacher, and "The Great high Priest"

as for Jesus being gay, not really wanting to fuel your fire too much, but have you not heard the rhumours about Joh Barzebedee "the one who Jesus loved"!
