Hello I have had many successful harvests indoors and now have some room to do some outdoor as well. This is my question: when is it safe to leave mature clones outside (so they won't start flowering due to low amounts of light). I have a few clones I've been vegging for a while and they are definitely sexually mature. there is almost 15 hours of light per day right now i just don't want my plants flowering and reverting

Please can i get a few different growers opinions i live in northern california, Shasta county.

If yer sure that the temps won't drop below 40F from now on till fall you should be fine. living in Shasta the altitude might let temps get down there still. otherwise they will do fine just remember yer growing season will be shorter than the low lands.>)

seed sprouts are one thing, im talking about sexually mature clones that will flower given enough hours of darkness, my question is whether or not the current amount of light will cause them to flower...

Sprouts clones potatoes potatoes, just do it, or not as you wish but if ya wait too long after June 30 you'll probly be disappointed in the outcome. As I said before as long as the temps are above 40F it's OK to plant anytime from now on!>p

you are pretty arrogant, not to be rude but come on. Since posting, i have talked to many people who have put CLONES outside since april when it was well over 40 degrees and they are now having issues with flowering clones this early in the season. I also have a friend of mine who is old school and does seed only and his SEEDLINGS are doing just fine not flowering because thats what they do, they grow until they are sexually mature, unlike clones which start sexually mature because they are clones of a much older plant. take a piece of advice from someone half your age, DON'T put clones outside until at least mid-may, mine have been outside since may 16 with no issues, but before then they were brought inside under florescent lights during the hours of darkness. those i have talked to who did not do this all have flowering clones.

I usually defer to the outdoor master rangerdanger (R.I.P.) but thought since no one else was answering I'd give it a shot. Guess I'm not doin' it correctly, so I'll backout and let someone else help ya!>)
