I am deeply in love with a Muslim girl and she is deeply in love with this Roman Catholic boy (me). She told me that if we want to get married I have to convert to Islam. I tell her I do not want to convert and she tells me she can not convert.
I suppose we can live together without getting married, but then we can never have sex with eachother.

Anyone here with the same experiences who can give me some information, tips and help?
Or anyone who knows about this subject?

Thank you very much and may whatever God you believe in bless you.

    Love, bird.

it depends in what country you live in some countrys it would be illegal to marry her .

in the west go for it but be prepared for trouble

note for non muslims its ok for a muslim to marry a christian if the man is a muslim the women is a christian but not the other way round

He asked a serious question, and you have no idea what you're talking about.
    It's not exactly helpful.

You are the person in this forum whose business this is least.

Bird, since you haven't gotten anything solid yet,
I'd suggest going to a 'full-time' muslim board and posing your question to a scholar.

That way you'll be sure to get a...respectable answer.

and i made a serious answer. and just cause it has to do with a muslim girl doesnt make it any more of your buisness than mine.

Oh, Bird, I love you; speaking in the spirit of Molly and the Chief. It appears that you are in a quandary with no escape by conventional means and therefore you must realize that in order to do the right thing you must be bold as the founding fathers of the religions that you are both now bound to were. And, so, realizing that change prevails even with the timeless roots of Islam and Chritianity; realizing that Chirstainity and Islam and all that connects to these are hybrid in nature; that we are all are, ultimately, genetic and cultural hybrids; and seeing that it is implicit that you are, at your root, truly driven and obligated to listen to God, the God that formed all of these religions, sects and cultures, you must lead the way, through your contribution whether this includes a generation of your children of not, to a better future. Run away together, both of you get on your knees, tears streaming, and thank God for eachother; live well, grow strong and love her.

The point is you say something like this~
-so, clearly you did not even think about the at all,
and you would understand why if you had bothered to read
    the question posed.

natural23 at least made an inteligent, well thought-out response.
Can we stop this argument anytime soon?

Bird~ are you still around, bro?
If you haven't gotten a really good answer by now, you might want to head over to askimam.org

It's kind of a strict rule, 'cause there's a real sentiment to protect daughters from
marrying people who... might not be all that fit to treat them well.
The feeling is, if he's a good Muslim, then he's going to be a good husband.

Of course, there are loopholes for everything.
You seem like a kickass guy, and if you're sincere and a good person
    ~who knows?
It's a pretty heavy question, though.
It probably won't be taken lightly if she/her family is very strict...

    Alhamduilah!

Bird convert! Muslim women are the best women on the earth! (not that non muslim women are evil whores) Man Im suprized you could even marry her if you convert. But if you can go for it! Just don't pull a Abul-Rahman of Afganistan on her. Man what nationality is she? I want to marry a pali sister but unfortunatly my white skin stops me from doing so. look into Islam.

why should you need to convert or pretend that youve converted to get married .

and as for muslim men being good husbands you should talk to some ex muslim women I know who were beat up by their husbands, in one case thrown out of a car while pregnant.

personally I wouldnt want to let my daughter marry a man who believes in a book that tells him to beat his wife as the koran does in sura 004.034

or that thinks its a good idea to have more than one wife or in the concept of slave girls

Does this need to become a conversation that's already been dried out two or three times already?
We all know that some men IN GENERAL are just assholes...

Quite frankly, I do not care about religion, but I do care about the girl. She is Malaysian and I already met her family. They are not that strict, but she can not marry a non-Muslim.
Also she told me she can not convert.

    don't convert.

    never convert for someone else.

if this is how it is for her, respect that and move on. it seems like you're not interested in islam enough to learn about it and come to your own conclusions, so I have to say, don't convert then.

let this go, if you're not interested in the religion.

you'll resent each other down the line when you have kids and you want to raise them differently.

    thank you.

    ^I disagree,
but I also don't see a way around this.

    Good luck to you, bro
