when you put dreads in your hair, i did mine like just letting it get nappy and then palm rolling and stuff but i still have like a little extra hair like reallly little but yeah question being are you supposed to lose a lot of hair when you put them in because ive been pulling out a lot of hair, like not noticable amounts but yeah i see it in my hand so yeah....
dead hair will always build up if you don't brush it out so you're probably just pulling out a build up of regular dead hair. i have 2 week old dreads (backcombing method) and when i'm playing with the ends i can usually pull out a few strands. i'm sure it's all normal
You shouldn't really be losing hair. Dreads are supposed to actually keep in the hair that falls out. I think I've lost maybe 5 strands of hair in 11 months...haha. So, hmm...I dunno. I don't think you should be losing a lot of hair.
hmm.. true.. maybe the hair's not nappy enough yet? i still think that it's inevitable to pull a little lose hair out with dreads being formed that way. (i mean during the process, not after they've locked up)
yea you will allways loose the odd hairs its natural its when whole dreads drop off you have to worry.
ONE QUESTIO ABOUT DREADS!!!!!!!!!!! hOw DO yOU mAke 'Em??????????????????? and plz don't give me sites cuz i've tried them all and non worked... i mean they were always undoin'!
yea if your dreads undo let them... they will re do themselfs again. Trust me after 2 months mine just looked like very very messy hair. no sign of a dread. ... 10 month in and they are looking a lot more dread like. Pick a method and stick with it and dont expect them to form over night, it takes years.
there should be at least a sticky thread about dreads if not a whole page. I have pics of my man's dreads and others that I wanted to put in the gallery, but I can't figure out how.
theres a whole room for them, i dont know why everyone does it in here Knotty know-how in the personal forums section
