Man, im reading Siddhartha for the 2nd time.. I love it, and I almost want to start seriously seeking my Self. I feel like, i could stop drug use. and all those things, and seek the "truth" by myself...
Cause finally. the message in this book, is to follow your spiritual life on your own, you dont need teachings, or anything.

But drugs are a form of teaching themselves arent they? We dont identify ourselves with our "real" Self when we consume. we see the reality the drugs show us....

I mean... how about trying to seek the "truth" thats inside of You!! not drugs, or teachings, or whatever..

One thing that comes to mind, is a story i heard of timothy leary giving a hit of acid to a buddhist monk and as the "trip" hit his system he said "meditation is better"

Man I know what you mean by following the spiritual path it seems to be more rewarding than being a slave to society.

just to experience something different...i think they all have their own psychoactive chemical in them to produce somewhat similar but also different effects. maybe some people dont become spiritual enlighted on mushrooms or saliva, but are easily spiritual on acid, and visa versa visa versa

i dont really know though, just a thought without looking into things.

i'm pretty sure acid has its own spiritual effects
i mean, if something does something like that to your mind
it's gotta have some kinda meaning or impression

Glad I live in Canada then :p

Thats weird though I thought they used to sell it online to americans?

I do know their was a breif period in the 60's that dealers were selling it but then they quit because they wern't making much profit off their hard drugs or so I heard.

I should have mentioned it has anti addictive properties so that could be why no one was buying the hard drugs...

"Iboga is outlawed or restricted in the US, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark. Root material and extracts thereof is obtainable through various European smart shops. It is now used for recovering heroin addicts and alcoholics."thats really lame, it sounds like a nice drug that could help people, along with giving people a nice trip. anything that could help people on heroin or alcholoics should be a good thing...

thats not what i meant though... For one to take a spirtitual path. and find the identity of his ''Self''.. he cannot receive learnings or teachings from someone or something (drugs).. cause they are not hisSelf.. they are the views of someone or something else.. Drugs bring us inside their reality...
