Queer Quarantine Question

How you guys/gals dress to show you’re out and about purposely barefoot? Guys, do you roll up your jeans or wear shorts with leather anklets and/or toe rings to make the point that “Fuck yeah, I’m barefoot, so live with it.” Ladies, you wear shorts or jeans or to emphasize the fact that “Yeah, Jack, I’m barefoot. What of it??” Especially as spring/summer, early fall roll around, and its cool and sexy to bare those soles in public.

I wear routinely long jeans, also because I don't want close contact with the hot exhaust or oil pipes of my bike. Once i used to wear some toe rings but they all broke or got lost at some point. BTW I don't find those cheap rings for sale on the stalls of beach jewellery sellers any more, They all perished being filed down quickly by stones gravel and asphalt or slipped away in seawater whenever I forgot them on. Girls were amused by toe rings, like , "well you are shoeless... in change you have a lot of toe rings !!"

    Yes.
I wear shorts weather permitting, which is almost always in SoCal.
Anklets and toe rings on both feet to show being barefoot is a lifestyle choice and not some random lark.
I don't roll up jeans if I'm wearing them (colder weather), so the anklets are hidden, but at least the rings are still visible.
I also shave my feet to avoid looking like a hobbit.
If I can't go barefoot for some reason, I wear huarache-style sandals from Xeros.
    Or occasionally flip flops.

I just dress like I usually do. I make no special effort to show i'm barefoot.

I like the rolled up jeans with leather or even string anklets. No toe rings. I don't like the feeling of anything on my feet! That's the point of going barefoot. Plus, ironically, your feet touching the ground. A dichotomy of sorts.

I dress normally like anybody would, I don't usually try to emphasize it. I don't want barefooting to be the defining characteristic of my personality.

I'm often in a t and jeans and bare feet. That's kinda my go-to look. Most of my friends know I avoid shoes as much as I can.

I am in a Florida beach town so its just generic shorts and bare feet.

The furthest I go is buffing my toe nails

    upload_2020-4-24_10-17-31.jpeg

I am sure the nail section in stores sells some system for $20 but this is $5 and used it for years I get any ridges out with the 1000-2000 then the 2500 makes a buff shine.

Me I would love to do lots of toe rings I think that would feel real cool walking in them gripping and scratching on the ground but I am to shy to be different and my long time friends might be a little WTF

Maybe not, its me I am shy.

What I have done is put duct tape across my forefoot copying the above idea so I can hike certain streets they decided to use big chunky rocks in the mix that are too much. Wasn't shy at all about that.

I should just get the toe rings and have fun.

In summer usually smart shorts and polo shirt and make sure I’ve got a decent tan. If it’s cooler I’ll wear hemmed joggers and sometimes a coat...I used to think you should always dress for summer with bare feet but not so bothered now. I keep my nails short and shave my feet every couple of days - don’t like them hairy

I forget I even have toe rings on. I wear one on each foot, second toe. They are open at the bottom and very comfortable. Stirling silver supposedly and pretty malleable. No scraping on the ground. Have lost a few hiking in mud though.

10 years ago if someone told me I'd be wearing foot jewelry and shopping barefoot I'd have thought they were crazy.

  12. That’s how I dress. Was just curious about those who DO make a point: “Hey! Looka me!”
    You know who you are...

    Me too.

If I never read that link to the barefoot running stuff never would have got the idea can I make my feet tough and would have gone on thinking the way barefooting feels the first week is how it always feels. Never ran but just tried it.

My feet are to fragile to go 100 yards without shoes. Ya cause a lifetime shoes made them weak and fragile !

We all know this, need to hit the comment sections on articles about bare footing on mainstream websites. They usually leave that part out.

What I didnt know is after time without shoes how much wearing them again sucks. but dont tell people that part lol

  14. Whenever I throw a pair of shoes on my bare feet, I think “what a loss! I can’t feel nothin.”

I wear eight toe rings and paint my nails and I wear a stainless steel anklet. I do despise shoes unless I have to do some welding.
