I had almost forgotton how great queesryche is.It wasnt until i listened to empire and operation mindcrime recently, that the combo of Geoff Tate on vocals and the amazing guitar work of Wilton and Degarmo. the production is great, the music is tight and masterfully done
I thought the EP was really good, but they went downhill with each release after that. I saw them perform several times and felt they were better live than studio. Mindcrime was okay but got a little esoteric as a recording and didnt translate as well live. Overall they were consistantly bearable, but never overwhelmed me the way I wanted them to. But hey, thats just me, and there is PLENTY worse! I like em okay, but wanted more from them than they ever seemed to have for my tastes.

Empire and Operation were stellar. It pulled the hair band crowd into Floyd and Spector territory, which is never a bad thing.
