I don't think there have been a bond movie so bad.
    Did you watch it?

Yeah, I watched it the other day actually.
The problem was, I kept dosing off.
Not because I was bored, just tired.
What I did watch of it, I liked.

Pre-Timothy Dalton all the bond films were truly bloody awful.

You're lucky you could dose off. The filming and camera work was so erratic and awful you'd be barely able to tell bond from the guys chasing him or the guys he is chasing..
The plot was also very boring; they just crammed in a car, foot, boat and plane chase and rolled credits.

"car, foot, boat and plane chase and rolled credits"

I have to say, isn't that pretty much what they do in most bond films?

Even if it was a sub par action film...it tore strips off previous efforts.

I love the action in bond movies, even when its utterly ridiculous.. in QOS I just felt the action scenes were dull and pointless.

Well, we could critique the film and possibly agree.
I'm really just saying it was not as bad as previous bond films, certainly not the worst.
The ones with Connery and Moore take that title.
Infact they could repeat QOS rather than others (They tend to show atleast one bond film during the holidays here) and I'd be happy.

Thats true, I've always kept clear off Moore's and Connery's bond.
I just had high expectations for this movie and felt disappointed.

    So do I (C and M.)
    So did I (expectations.)
I have to say I did attempt to watch it as I awoke but it did not grab my attention.
I probably should atleast give it another shot before I think it failed.

What made me laugh was that horrible kiss he gave her at the end.
Well it was more of a lunge at her mouth than anything else.

I think they should let Bond die gracefully. They've sucked it dry of any possibility of anything creative, and it tires me. To me it's obvious they're just popping out new movies as fast as they can to get more money out of the character, rather that actualy trying to do anything interesting with it. Sometimes the movie industry pisses me off.

I saw Quantum of Solace earlier this week; while I didn't think it was a great Bond film, it was a decent action film. I can see why there are so many comparisons between it and the Bourne series. I don't think it was too much action, it just lacked the 007 style. As for being the worst Bond film, I definately have to disagree...I still have a hard time sitting through The Man with the Golden Gun, which is depressing because Christopher Lee is awesome.

I definitely don't think it's the worst Bond out there, but it did seem like they could have made something great and instead decided to return to the same old formula. Still, Daniel Craig is definitely the best Bond ever and even though they just barely followed up on the promise of CR, this one is still about ten times more memorable than any of the Brosnan films.

In fact, I can't think of a single scene in any of the other Bond films that stands out as being even the slightest bit interesting or rises above the typical formulaic B-movie shit that the series has relied upon before Daniel Craig took over. I mean, he forces the bad guy to drink motor oil, for crying out loud... tell me that isn't more interesting that driving a tank in a tuxedo or yes, even the threat of a laser burning your crotch. Can anyone even remember how any of the other Bond villains died? Usually they would just fall off of things or die in an explosion or something... and then that's the goddam climax. There definitely wasn't any awesome hand-to-hand fighting while caught in cables as scaffolding crashes all around.

I hope they add some story to the next installment, though... or I'll be super disappointed.

It's a good film but the storyline is not powerful.
