Well im female...but why would you wana know?:S Surely it just depends what their view on sex is? Like if its a casual non-love related thing then itll be a high number for them...if they only make love with those they love, then itll be a low number...just like the women i guess. Non?

Bump. I'm really interested in hearing more responses. But from women too. I feel like my number of sexual partners is low. But hearing the other responses makes me think it might be slightly above average or average.

I read some studies...Man this question is actually more complicated than it seems. It appears there is a HUGE concentration at the top --- a small number of men with socio-economic status, and women sex workers have waaaaaaaaaaaay more sex than everyone else. In the hundreds and, in case of sex workers, thousands.

Theoretically, if we're speaking of a socially similar group of the same age, men and women should have the same average number of sex partners. But research consistently show men respond higher numbers than women. There is even a study that concluded men are more truthful about their sex lives than women are on average. Like, the average for women responding with a lie detector jumped up, whereas mens responses remained in the ballpark.

Then there are two contradictory hypothesis:

1) young women in the U.S. have on average more sex than the average male. That is because there is only a small percentage of males that appear "desireable" to women due to status issues;

2) men have more sex on average than the average woman. That's so because essentially all men are banging the same slutty chick whereas the rest of the women choose to go home early and watch TV;

What do you think? I wanna hear some responses from women too.
