I would suggest that Mr. Putin prefers to coddle the neocons who will turn a blind eye to Russian atrocities in Chechnya and continue to assist his strongarm centralised government crackdowns on civil liberties because they share the same intent to centralise elite power to the center at the expense of our respective nations' citizenry. The neocons will also give him greater cover with the bogus "war on terror" label to violate due process of law in eliminating all his political opponents.

too bad putin isnt a communist.
bush, in fact, does not have the communist vote.

but its no surprise that bush would be supported by a fascist pig like putin.

Ooh goodness, here comes pointbreak to play grammatical nazi in order to find anything he possibly can to show his penchant for insubstantial snide retorts.

Go sell your snide BS on military.com where you really belong along with the other ignorant sods. You certainly demonstrate no legitimate cause to be posting in a liberal community such as this.

Are liberal Democrats somehow opposed to centralization of power?

I'd say liberal democrats probably are, but the democrats in office who CLAIM to be "liberal democrats" (like Kerry, for example) aren't.

No i think a true Liberal would want that, just as a true conservative would not.

How completely inappropriate. Foreign leaders have a responsibility to their countries and to the world to keep their damn mouths shut about U.S. presidential elections.

wow, an advocate of lassiez faire economics that has just used a terrorist strike to justify the stripping of civil rights backs bush... wow... didn't see that one coming.

Maybe Kerry can use this, like how he said that world leaders support his bid for president, he could say which world leaders are opposed....

So the US can invade foreign countries and install governments to their liking but foreign countries aren't even allowed to make COMMENTS about the US elections?

Well I think many of us would agree that this is inappropriate as well. Of course, I am not sure if Kandahar feels that way.

    Umm...

Where in my previous post did I say it was ok for the US to invade foreign countries and install governments to their liking?

And yes, foreign leaders should shut their damn mouths about US elections.

That doesn't make any sense. The two issues are completely unrelated.
