Didn't the Ninja Turtles have a turtle shell cell phone long before cell phones were a thing?

That does sound like something Donatello would design. :p

Kinda had a crush on Raphael when I was younger. But the cute cartoon one, not the monstrosity they are today.

I had all the turtle figures plus Master Splinter and I had a blimp, the van and a chopper. The chopper had a trigger and had boxing gloves. Lol.

Dinoriders man. I had all those figures too. The big trex, the diplodocus and triceratops. All fired rockets. I don't know whatever happened to them though. I remember I threw all my turtles away when I moved out of home. Like all my models. That hurt.

LOL you were such a tomboy. Back then I wanted to be She-ra.

But then I discovered surfing and basketball, and later, punk rock, and finally had some grit. And I never looked back.

I was always into rock and roll because my dad used to love the TV show tour of duty and I always likes the song paint it black so he bought me the albums. And then I got into Metallica and metal. And I was metal for ages. Then I got into the underground/horrorcore rap. And now I'm into country and folk, which is what dad listened to and so now I listen to all the old stuff we listened to together, well Steve Earle anyway. Not Dolly Parton. :p

Your whole post was empty until I quoted it...and I figured it was the incomparable Bonnie Raitt.

Every time I hear her (and I have some of her CDs) I remember the love I had with my husband.

    Makes him seem close. :innocent:

The veil is thin here in the Twilight Zone. :kissingheart:

I want a phone that could make people disappear if I didn't like them or didn't want to see them...AND one that calls back all the telemarketers and tells them stuff, but buys nothing, so their day won't be bad and I won't have to say it. lol

I can name like two Metallica songs. Wait, that's not true. I can't even name them. But I know them. There's the sandman one, obviously, and something I vaguely remember about Jack and Jill or something?

Anyway, I got into stuff like the Clash and the Ramones and thought I was badass. For awhile I thought the Clash was the greatest band in the world--their early stuff; not that "Rock the Casbah" shit. But then, like most angry young girls in the 90's, I got swept up in the whole Riot Grrrl thing--Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Sleater-Kinney, stuff like that. Even so, bands like L7, Seven Year Bitch, and Betty Blowtorch, had a much more "metallic" edge to their music, and I just couldn't get into it as much. Metal is just...too much. Too over the top, too loud, too aggressive, too in your face. I'm sure it's beautiful music to those who appreciate it, but it goes over my head.

My dad was always into oldies and country. It was through him I discovered the Beach Boys--whom I still love to this day. He was into the old Outlaw Country, but there were no oldies country stations, so he was listening to the modern stuff back in the 90's. I got into some of it for awhile, but quickly outgrew it.

That being said, Dixie Chicks are as feminist punk as any Riot Grrrl band

Made a lot of progress on the house tonight. Spare room should actually be a guest room by the time my sister gets here. Clothes are still drying, so I'm going to finish the tree.

Hopefully this place will be respectable by Thursday. Anyway, peace out bee-yotches. Love ya and talk to ya maƱana.

Probably the house that jack built, which I never got at the time but I think now when I listen to the lyrics it' aabout shooting up and doing drugs, not building a house by Jack. :p
