Personaly I never understood the point of a name/strain unless your dealing with growing because even a good strain growen in a ditch will turn out to be ditch weed.(I say ditch as in low in nutrition, water, and other plant essentials)

    Yeah, I've had it many a time, it's dank.:p

And about the names, the strains do have names and different characteristics about them, so it's respectable to acknowledge that. And, for instance, where I live, all of the bud comes from the clubs so it's all been grown under great conditions, so all of the names do hold a meaning.

purple weed is nothing more than a gimmick. blues, reds, and purples are all caused by dropping the grow temperatures during the later part of the plant's flowering stage. needless to say, i've had buds that were a gorgeous deep purple--it does look awesome!

This is what I put in 40oz and chronic's thread, but it holds true here:

"I compare purple weed to namebrands. People think namebrands are better because of the name that gets stamped on it. But in reality, other shit may be of higher quality than the namebrand shit. People think purple weed is better because of the look of it. It may look better, but that doesn't mean it actually IS better."

So basically you want people to not recognize different varieties of cannabis because youre ignorant about it?

dude what the hell are you talking about man. fuck all i know is that this stuff is very good and some dude told me it was called purple urkle. i dont think names are important as long as its weed its weed but if i didnt put a name then how can i tell everyone what i had. i just wanted to join the views of people who have had this kind of weed. all the kinds are differnt too. if you dont believe in names on weed then im assuming you dont believe in names on alcahol do you? because isnt that really the same thing?

Yeah, bust out your hairy white balls so I can cut them off. I don't know every variety of cannabis, and I'm sure most people don't. But I also realize that they are named to simply classify them, and people are doing it for reasons beyond your laziness and stupidity. Also anyone who buys mids thinking it's dank, much less a purp strain, deserves to be curbed. There is a whole world of cannabis consumers and sellers markets outside of your teenybopper crew.
