What kind of soap does everyone use? For years I used the commerical shit, like Lever, which practically ruined my skin. Now I only use natural, pure soap. Right now I am using Kirk's Coco Castile soap, which leaves my skin smooth and refreshed. Plus it smells great, yet doesn't contain any harmful perfumes.

Does anyone else have any other recommendations?

    I use jergens
but I only use it for washing my hands, or for shaving (two different bars I might add). Scent free, rather cheap, and good for sensitive skin. I don't use it tons though, I prefer just washing my face/skin with water instead. My skin is low maintenance, aside from avoiding scented products which always make me break out.

I can't use anything with fragrance in it on account of my super sensitive skin and major allergic reactions to certain chemicals. I get unscented castille soap from a local soapmaker, but you can purchase homemade soap online lots of places. I use it for most of my cleaning needs, not just my body, bathtub, sinks, everything really.

Right now I'm using Zum goat's milk soap from Indigo Wild. I got a sample of it from a trade show and fell in love with it.

I bought some home-made stuff from a natural foods/pagan store. It has oatmeal in it, so it's exfoliating as well.

For some reason I was taken my surprise to hear how bad, foaming mousse cleansers are for you skin, but it really totally makes sense, of course anyhting with a detergent in it will dry out the skin!
How do you make your soap nimh?

I make my own. One is Marseille from the Soap Naturally book, which I use for laundry. The other is a recipe I made up one day and had to recalculate on the spot because I poured too much coconut oil. I use that for washing grease off my hands, usually when washing dishes. I use no soap when bathing; I scratch the dead skin off.
