Well just had my first two public barefoot experiences. Went to a convenient store for a cup of coffee and donut for the road. There was a man stocking shelves that did a double take look at me, and a few others noticed, but said nothing. Then I went into a dollar store found my items checked out, had a friendly greeting exchange with the clerk no negative issues. It was a an interesting experience going counter to cultural norms, but nobody knows me and it did feel awesome being barefoot. The different textures and temperatures on the bottoms of my feet was very satisfying.
I love going barefoot in public and when I go to Walmart most of the employees know me and it’s great
Yeah that’s why we go barefoot and it’s a great lifestyle I would never wear socks and shoes ever again
It takes a lot of courage to go against cultural norms and go in public barefoot but the first time you do you realise why you never did it before. The more you go out in public barefoot the easier and more enjoyable it becomes. Generally most people don't care you aren't wearing shoes
Yes it did but when you love to be barefoot you just do it . Even tho we are told that we need to wear shoes. But then more I went barefoot in public it was easier and I did have some people ask me why am I barefoot and I told them the truth that I hate to wear socks and shoes and I love being barefoot and I have had some people just say they wish they could go barefoot. And some would ask me where are your shoes all I said was I don’t wear shoes or socks ever. I really love the barefoot lifestyle and nobody will ever change my mind ever
You should see the looks I get when it’s snowing and it’s only 23 degrees outside and I go to the store in bare feet
I’ve done barefoot at 23 F and in snow. I don’t last long, five minutes and I am done. But upper 30’s dry grass I can go much longer. A couple of days ago it was just 50 and the grass was soggy wet I spent over an hour and didn’t want to stop. The couple looks I got just added to the experience of being barefoot in public. I will be doing more.
I can last for a few hours in 23 degrees weather but I have been going barefoot for a every long time over 32 years in all types of weather and I’m use to it but I do love the looks I get and that makes me want to go barefoot even more
My main goal to being barefoot is to enjoy it and to be able to be barefoot when and where I want to enjoy it. I really want to be able to go hiking barefoot. I have done this a few times and I hope this year my comfort will increase.
The more you go barefoot your hikes will be awesome you just got to walk more barefoot on different surfaces and that helps a lot . I know that’s how I did it and now I can walk on whatever is in front of me .
Thats so true, I am just about to go on a 12km barefoot walk before it gets too hot. So looking forward to it! Almost a total turn on knowing my bare soles will feel all these different surfaces!
I had to go and run some errands and yes I did it barefoot and the temperature today is 50 degrees I was wearing my leggings and a light jacket and bare feet. And wow I had people looking at me then my bare feet. I had two ladies ask me if the group is cold and I said no it feels really good. They were wearing flip flops and one of them said we should go barefoot shopping one of these days. I said you will love it and one ask me but your feet get dirty right ? I said yes but only the bottoms and I showed then and one of them said I can live with that and the other one said yeah I guess I could live with that to. I told them that when you’re done with the day you just jump in the shower and clean your feet and you’re ready for the night and the next day. They ask me if my feet come clean I told them no because I go everywhere barefoot and the bottoms of my bare feet get stained from walking on the blacktop parking lot and from stores and when I go walking on the river trail . They were like wow you really love going barefoot I said yes I do . And Even this guy said yes he does I live by him and he never wears shoes. And they ask me even in the snow I said yes and I showed them pictures and one of them said I can’t wait to do that and her friend said what ? She said that she has made up her mind she wants to be a full time barefooter. I said that’s awesome and you better start now so you can get your feet tough and your feet will thank you for not wearing shoes or socks. I Even told her the health benefits are awesome as well. So I told them good luck and we went our way and I finished shopping and went home
I had to go and pick up some food I ordered and I went to a restaurant that knows me and I was wearing a light jacket and jeans and in my bare feet here’s a picture of me in jeans and bare feet
Today it was 38 degrees Fahrenheit and after taking my barefoot walk in the park I went to the Dollar store. Had a $5 off coupon. Well I went in with my barefoot shoes and since there were just a few customers I took them off, placed them in the basket and walked around the store barefoot. A few customers saw me but I don’t know if they saw my bare feet. It felt good walking around barefoot just seemed odd because it was only 38 outside.
That’s awesome that your feet are getting tougher keep it up and you will be able to walk on anything
Well yesterday was an amazing barefoot day. I started by taking the cats and dog’s food out onto the deck barefoot. Next I drove to my men’s Bible study barefoot. I wore my shoes without socks into the Bible study. After Bible study I drove barefoot to the post office, walked barefoot on the public sidewalk into the post office, waited in line for almost fifteen minutes. Don’t know if it was all the coffee in me but my heart was racing. I felt like I was the center of attention. when I left a man asked me as I’ve walked out where my shoes were. I told him I enjoyed going barefoot and he said he did, too. I mentioned earthing grounding to him and he said he didn’t think it worked on concrete. I told him there was some benefit with concrete but not blacktop. Next, I drove to Walmart. It took about three minutes or so to overcome my nervousness, after all it was Saturday morning lots of people. Well I did it. Walked in and around Walmart barefoot, went through checkout and was about to leave when the checkout clerk asked where my shoes were. I turned and walked out feeling like I had really broken down a barrier. It felt good. My foot after walking barefoot on blacktop, concrete the post office and Walmart.
On my way back fro a barefoot hike I stopped at a convenient store for a burger and some chips. I walked in barefoot didn’t give it a second thought. Had a few people give me a second look. I am getting more comfortable with public barefooting.
