you will be disappointed with things, you will watch people die. I wouldn't reccomend having any children.
First, let me clarify, I do not have a firm stance on psychics. I myself have never witnessed one, but that does not mean I think everyone who claims to be psychic is a liar. I treat all paranormal the same. Until I'm given 110% reason to think it's impossible, I figure there's always a chance. Anyway.. I don't know if any of you are familiar with Penn & Teller, but they have a show on Showtime called BULLSHIT, I think it's been on for like 3 or 4 seasons now. Anyway, one of their earlier episodes had a lot to do with psychics and how, according to them, psychics where all con artists and full of shit (again, I stress, this is NOT my opinion). But later in the show they did bring up an interesting, if not rather weird, point. Apparently somewhere in the States there's a man who has made the claim that anyone who can come to his establishment and, under a controlled environment, prove that they are psychic -- he'll give 1 million dollars to. As of this date, no one has ever taken him up on his offer. Personally, I'm incredibly interested in the subject matter, but as I said, as of yet, I'm still rather wishy/washy on how much I believe. Sorry if this offended anyone. But again, I don't mean any ill regards to anyone.
I don't think any of that is offensive,Ganja. It's really interesting, actually. I think I'll look that up online, because it's curious that no one has shown up at that establishment. I don't even doubt psychics,I think some people could have gifts that allow them to see things...but at the same time,I think many of them are frauds. I would like to think, that any real psychics maybe just don't want the money,in exchange for showing off their gifts...but nah,I doubt that could be it.
Thanks, Wonder Girl Yea, I found it pretty interesting too. On the show they interviewed a few "psychics" (who, for the purpose of the show where obviously quack-jobs) and asked them why they hadn't stepped up to the challenge, and few of them did say that they didn't need the money or that they felt they didn't have "anything to prove". Which I can understand. BUT! Than they brought up the point of how many charities are out there that could use that cash.. you know? So like, even if it was "above the person" to showcase their abilities, wouldn't you just do it anyway and donate the money to someone? I'll have to check the net too, I can't remember the exact name for the life of me. PEACE!
Exactly...there's not many people in this world that don't love money or atleast desire more money. Even the best of people would see it as an opportunity to use the money for some good..such as a charity.
k if you are coming to hipforums for someone to tell you your future... you have hit rock bottom and an alltime low
