Picture yourself miles underground in a cavern. picture yourself sitting alone and allow your consciousness to enter your own body. from there allow your consciousness to make it's way to the surface. feel the rocks around you as you slowly rise to the surface, and allow your consciousness free reign to divert in whatever direction it chooses. continue up to the surface as your mind introduces you to places and wonders you never thought possible.

It's both a learning experience and an exercise as the bulk earth offers some resistance.

Hotwater is way ahead of me, I had to read a book to get some psychic exercises. The book I recommend, as many here know, is The Psychic Pathway, by Sonia Choquette. She's a good enough psychic that she can charge upwards of $800/hour for readings and still have a year-long waiting list, she has been leading psychic development workshops for years, and I have had personal experiences that have shown me she is very much for real, and frankly quite amazingly gifted.

Meditate. And open your mind and eyes and ears...don't be so quick to listen to your own opinions and thoughts...but let your intuition speak more clearly.

There are some other things that I've done in the past, but they're dangerous. Be careful when developing your mind and energy in that way, it can let some nasty stuff in.

I don't like to count, it distracts me.

I actually got into meditation through guided meditations. If you can find a person with a really soothing voice to read one to you, that'd be cool. Or download one from the internet, or google it. meditainment.com has a free one that's pretty neat. That just teaches you to relax your mind, and lets you get to know yourself better.

Or you can concentrate on your breathing...taking breaths as deep as you possibly can, focus on the way it feels going in and out, your body's responses.

or you can find a secret place to go. Mine's sort of like a black box that's half full of water, and I float, and the ceiling is an aurora borealis. I just float there and listen.

If you must count, try something smaller than 100. Like..1-2-3-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-3-2-1..or something like that. 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3

    Meditation's basically this:
1.Find a dark, quiet, comfortably temperatured room where you won't be disturbed.

2.Find a comfortable position. Some people like to sit up, some like to lay down. Just find what's comfy and work your way up from there.

3.Focus on something. Anything. Inner noise, outer noise, breath, a place, a thought...one single thing. Your mind will drift, don't let that get you down. Just gently nudge your thoughts back to that one single thing. Keep drawing it back whenever it floats off. If you can't escape noise, just ignore it...bring your mind back to your solitary thought. Or work with it. I live in a (finished) basement, and pipes go over my bedroom. I let the sound of the water running through the pipes soothe me, and work it into my meditation. Soon I've forgotten about it, gotten used to it.

    4. Relax. If your butt or legs fall asleep, simply shift your weight around. I've meditated with some pretty experienced people, and they are NOT quiet! You can hear their clothes and pillows and blankets rustling around as they get comfortable.

Another cool thing to do is get a candle, set it a few feet in front of you in a dark room, and meditate on the flickering flame.

I could go on and on...meditation is one of my favorite subjects. :) PM me if you want more info or advice!

    You're welcome. :)

And you're right about exercising--I think I'm getting a little flabby--time to do some stretching and warm up a bit. ;)

Another psychic exercise begins on a stretch of desert highway. picture yourself running while slowly gaining speed. keep accelerating until you reach the speed of light. it's one of the most unique and unusual feeling you'll ever experience as time itself stands still.

hm maybe you wanna try the other way round as well ...

ok so ... take a slow walk with eyes closed, best done at night somewhere on a level, smooth ground, and make sure you won't run into an obstacle ... and then just watch the world move by, and earth as it rolls underneath your feet ... but you are the center ... being still ... yup with or without light speed.

    :)

It might be hard to find level, smooth ground where I live. But the exercise sounds interesting...

Get yourself a copy of Tom Brown's "Awakening Spirits". His sacred silence meditation will get you further than most meditations I have seen to date. Brandt Morgan's "Vision Walk is also well worth the money and the effort. Another approach you might want to look into is Mantak Chia's microcosmic orbit and its derviative meditations. You can find them on Chia's website in the articles section.
All of these have tremendous power and they are safe.
When you go messing in the realm of imagination and spirit you have to remember that there are real dangers out there. Bad stuff can and does happen. I have seen it first hand. The above meditations are stronger, more versatile and safer than most of the new age stuff floating about these days. Good luck and keep us posted.
