Anyone have some good classical music with a psychedelic vibe? I just found this, and it blows my mind. Mind you, the only psychedelic (if you could call it that) I've experienced is cannabis, but this sounds like it would be amazing on any psychedelic. It has an amazing cosmic, ethereal vibe, and it seems to transcend time. It blows my mind. Check it out. Anyone know of any other good psychedelic classical music?

Anything written by Bela Bartok, Gyorgy Ligeti, Kryzstof Penderecki, or Paul Hindemith is IM more 'trippy' than anything in the popular music or jazz music (if jazz is classified as not popular music) realms. Listen to the following piece while high and you will be freaked out in a good way:

-Bela Bartok: Piano Concerto No.1, Mvt. 2.

I don't find the OP very psychadelic.

But I do think this is pretty trippy (though, probably a bad trip):

I grew up on that one - when I quit smoking (for 20+ years), 5th piano and 3rd and 5th symphonies helped a lot. Somehow they helped me see I was still me.

It really is beautiful. I listened to that song on 45mg of 2ce and it produced some of the most amazing CEV's I've ever had.

I agree with ysir. Philip Glass is the BEST.
I have loved listening to selections from "Hydrogen Jukebox" of his, also Satyagraha. Going to see his opera Satyagraha changed my life (and I was SOBER that night!! :D) I am planning to listen to the entirety of Satyagraha on a psychedelic trip sometime.

In the same vein as Glass, listen to some music by Steve Reich or Terry Riley. Actually, what I would do (have done) is make a Pandora Station and input Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Terry Riley (and maybe also John Adams). I guarantee you everything on that station that will come up will be absolute bliss while you're tripping (works good for high-dose weed experiences, too!)

If you don't get euphoric when you're baked and put on this I dare to say there's something wrong: :D

I think John Cage is really trippy. when he was alive he used to collect mushrooms. haha even my percussion instructor said he was a trippy kinda guy! Glass is cool, I think Mozart is really trippy and funny. The Rite Of Spring by Stravinsky is pretty fucking trippy when you're sober. Milton Babbit (spelling?) is pretty cool too.

I really don't know how to post YouTube videos or else I would post some Bela Bartok or other modernists and you would finally understand the meaning of a 'psychedelic' classical piece. Can someone give me a link to how to post a YouTube here. I have searched the website and never been able to figure it out.
