ive been thinking about a lot of stuff like that and im wondering if God will punish you for doing psychadelics. noone can kno forsure but what i do kno is when i was on mushrooms i was laying in a field and began to see fire come up all around me. i quickly stood up after realizing that it may have been a message from God to stop doing what im doing, psychadelics. i find that psychadelics give me more insight and a deeper thought process as to what God really wants us to do. i doubt he would advocate the use of psychadelics...but it is a way to travel deep into the mind so i really dont know. what do you think? will i go to hell for using psychadelics? chemicals are where i find the real problem, what grows on this earth is meant to be explored and used to its fullest potential. but some psychadelics are man made and not what God intented for this earth. i would loove some input
after the shroom trip i thought that all these things (shrooms, lsd...) are just distractions on this earth made either by satan or god to see who deserves to get into heaven. whoever follows these distractions and loses touch with the real meaning of life, to serve god, will not make it into heaven. but on the contrary psychadelics are a way to explore the mind and figure all this out
God created man and man created drugs. I can't see a problem there. Creation is the basis of our existence.
I never agreed with how just because something is illegal its somehow less dangerous than legal things like cigarettes and alcohol. If we are to take of every herb of the earth... Then whats the difference from smoking pot and taking excedrines? Advil & Tylenol are produced in a lab by man yet marijuana needs no processing and its worse to smoke a plant than to take a myriad of chemicals condensed into a pill?
I think yo pretty much hit it on the head when you said... all these things (shrooms, lsd...) are just distractions... whoever follows these distractions and loses touch with the real meaning of life, to serve god... serving God with our whole mind, heart and soul is truly difficult when you are not even sure what reality is.
The only reason people believe in god is because of ... psychedelics. Buddha, jesus, muhammed, Hubbard all used them. Taking them will make you believe you are the messiah and that you can see god.
"The only reason people believe in god is because of ... psychedelics." I hear that a lot but is there any proof of this? Even so, majority of people who believe in God have never even used any psychedelics in their lives yet they believe in God.
It's pretty obvious. If you take shrooms or lsd or even weed you receive largely the same effects as these characters - feel like you can perform miracles, love for everyone and everything, belief in the supernatural.
God sent to the Earth 5 books. 1. The Holy Bible. 2. The Koran. 3. The Torah. 4. A Book of Hoffman LSD < also called a BIBLE. 5. The Dictionary ( PSYCHEDELICS. with an E..
I guess if you associate "fire" with "message from god to stop doing psychedelics", then yes, god was telling you to stop doing psychedelics by making you hallucinate fire all around you through the power of mushrooms. Wait, what? Then why did he create them? Then why did he create our brains in such a way that psychedelics are even possible? Then why did he give us the ability to create new, safe psychedelics like LSD? The internet didn't come from the earth either, but you're posting on it, does this mean you're going to hell? I think if there is a "god" your ideas about him would make him laugh, if he was even such a thing that could laugh or have opinions about things. try and think a little deeper and wider! throw off your kindergarten cosmology, it shackles you to stupid ideas.
OM-GOD how did I forget the other 2 books.. I deserve 1000 lashings... or 500mics.. But these are the most important books of all.. Tihkal.. Pihkal..
________ Never heard of those Holy books. God, if there is a supreme being, doesn't care about trivial things like people eating funny plants and chemicals. If anything a supernatural God would want us expanding our minds to come closer to learning and being what 'it' wants from us, if 'it' wants anything? Were probably just a science experiment from some curious kid in another dimension.lol
Well, Jesus for example loved everyone, even the hypocrites but I seriously doubt he had any warm and fuzzies for them. I mean to believe that all people on earth that believe in God have taken these drugs doesn't seem to sit right with the ratio of how many believe and how many use.
It is not that which goes into a man's mouth which defiles him but that which comes out. Also, because it is possible to use psychedelics responsibly and in moderation, and because it is possible to derive great insight and inspiration from the psychedelic experience, I can't see how God would punish such a thing. Just don't let yourself be consumed by it. As for the fire thing how about this: Matthew 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. So maybe it wasn't hellfire the OP saw.
Jesus is pleased with people who take LSD occassionally. Jesus is pleased with people who do not take LSD. Jesus is not pleased with people who take LSD frequently.
Before I took peyote I had a vague belief in God. After I took peyote I was certain God existed. And everything I've experienced since then, having currently not taken a single psychedelic in about 36 years, has confirmed the existence of God for me. It took a psychedelic to open my eyes to things I never noticed before. I didn't get this from mescaline, acid, shrooms, mj, or anything else. I just can't see God as a petty entity that would put some plants on the Earth to trick us with and then say, "Uh, uh, uh...you ate/smoked those bad plants, you little fucker. To hell with you!!!" That's your dickhead gym teacher, not God. Don't confuse the two.
I've never talked to the Christian God, I've never talked to Allah, and I've never talked to any of those weird Hindu Gods. But I have talked to Lady Salvia. I'm now Pantheist. If there is a creator god, then I would imagine he created psychedelics so we could talk to him. The idea that you will be punished for using psychedelics is some bullshit idea thought up by right-wing christians. Peace and Love eace:
