pssssh what a day

man today has been one day and a half. what a mix of emotions. its been a real drainer. you know when you giv all your energy ad care to people and they take and take and leach on. its been one of those. i felp out at this feed the homeless outreach programme and this poor guy there is living with this big bully guy that makes him run around for him. kicking him when he sleeps and making him go to the shops for him.

this guy always has something wrong and im alwats an ear for him but its really draining when he's doing nothing about it. i feel like my energy is wasted. its like. although he's not happy he's also not prepared to do anything about it.

and now im getting text messages from an ex asking me if i broke up with her for someone else. ive been honest with her and told her straight all along. i dont know why she's even asking me when her mind is made up. i cant be more honest. there is no such thing.

If Lithium's post doesn't cheer you up Elliott, nothing will! But seriously, you're a good guy, doing a lot of good for the world. It's not easy trying to fix other people's messes, especially when you've got troubles of your own. But the fact that you're doing it, is something really very positive. Stick in there, and be a good example to this homeless guy....

It's hard sometimes trying to carry other people's burdens. I know from experience, you want them to get help so much to better their situation; but sometimes you can show someone the door but there's just never anything you can do to kick their butt through it. It can be ultra frustrating, especially when they still come to you to complain about their situation. There are times though when no matter how much you want to help if it's causing you a lot of personal pain and agony you have to pull back from the situation, because if you stay so wrapped up in that you will drain yourself and then will be of no help to anyone else, including yourself.

Sorry to hear about the situation with your ex too. Ex's always have that way of coming back into your life at the most inopportune moment.
