i would say good things for me are weed helps me get my zen moments, really helps me with meditation type stuff.

bad things would be absolutely kills all motivation for everything, and makes me want to smoke the herb all day everyday

[IMG]* Marijuana has been used to enhance the appetite of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
    * Studies have shown that marijuana is beneficial in relieving a person from the uneasy feeling of nausea.
    * Doctors have made use of marijuana, successfully, in the treatment of neurogenic pain.
    * The people suffering from glaucoma, asthma and spasticity have been found to have benefited from the consumption of marijuana.
    * Marijuana can help relieve the chronic pain and suffering of people with incurable diseases like cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis
    , etc.
    * Marijuana is regarded to be a 'mind opener' i.e. it can help people broaden their outlook and think creatively.

Hemp fibre is surprisingly useful as a cotton, paper, cellulosic or polymer substitute when it is treated correctly. As a crop, it is low-maintenance and resilient, and requires none of the weeding and heavy use of pesticides usually required in farming. Hemp is particularly effective as a source for textiles. The fibres drawn from the hemp plant are the strongest and longest in nature. Fabrics, twines, yarns and cords made from hemp are durable and versatile. It can be combed into any gauge or quality of fibre. As a substitute for such diverse substances as cotton, trees, or petroleum, hemp proves to be more environmentally sound than all of its alternatives (requiring about 10% of the water needed to produce cotton) and its versatility and resilience make it economically sound as well.

Conned into believing its not as beneficial as a fuel as OIL..

OH GOD !!! Now everyone is going to want to get cancer and get sick just so that they can get Marijuana. Everyone will try to find ways to get glaucoma and asthma so they can toke on their inhaler and then toke on their bong, just rely on some marijuana for your pain don't try to fix yourself the marijuana will do that. Marijuana will cure everything you don't even have to think anymore because marijuana is a 'mind opener.' You don't understand the workings behind doctors and medical prescription marijuana, it's bigger than You and I, it's a machine. They will make us dependent on their Marijuana plants and that will be it. Remember THC: They have control!

    Pros

    - You become sharing. "BING....???"
    - You become passive. "Bob wants a fight? Fuck it, jus' means I have to stand up"
    - You become lustful. "Dude, why does this baggy smell salty??"
    - You become amusing. "All I said was that i'd been to the bank today... it's really not that funny"
    - You become caring. "Try and not blim the carpet, again"
    - You become philosophical. "Always treat others like you'd want to be treated yourself. I don't like you, you ate my oreos, get out of my house"
    - You become intelligent. "What's two plus two? I'm STONNNEEEDDDddd"

    Cons

Are people we find in jail cells. The end.

OMG if pot was at all motivating, it would be a miracle drug. In fact, I bet the government would be feeding it to us by the truck load then! They would have found a new way to keep us minions working harder for them while we were too stoned to notice.

A strong Sativa always gets me motivated, well that is unless I smoke to much, then Im just floored to the ground in wonder and amazement. For munchies I usually always go to the garden and pick some veggies and make something tasty or I bake some brownies or simply just drink water when "I know" im not really that hungry. When I smoke Indica, its usually at night when I don't want to be motivated, I play guitar, look at posts and then go to bed. I don't like late night munchies :p

Oh did I mention playing hacky sack after a potent joint, nothing funner then hitting something repetitively after a good old baking :D

    Actually it isn't.
Marijuana supresses REM sleep and therefore you get a less restfull sleep.
It helps with making a person drowsy and falling to sleep, but interferes with the cycles during sleep.
The need for entering into REM cycles fully has been understood for a long time, as has the effect that marijuana has on it.

You fall asleep easier, but don't get the same degree of actual rest.
