I'm conforming... I decided fuck it, its my senior prom, I might as well go. Plus I think my boyfriend wants to. But I'm NOT about to go all out and curl my hair, wear a froufrou pink dress, go tan, etc. I want a different, unique, LAIDBACK dress. It'd help if it was kind of short. I like to show off my legs. However, I don't want to be TOO casual. Plus cost is an issue. I'm looking for $100 or less probably. (I'd be willing to spend a LITTLE more if I really liked it.) Any advice?
Urban Outfitters sells some cute dresses from time to time, and Anthropologie always has some cute, almost garden wedding type dresses. If you're really willing to invest some capital, go for Free People. They sell cute dresses, but they're way expensive. Another way to go would be Ebay. Seriously, ebay sells the cutest vintage dressesI've ever seen, the only downside is you can't try it on. Try searching "hippie wedding", you can dye white dresses any color you want for only a few dollars. urban outfitters: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urba...ount=6&pushId=WOMENS_APPAREL&id=W_APP_DRESSES anthropologie: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro...&navCount=0&pushId=APP_DRESSES&id=APP_DRESSES free people: http://www.freepeople.com/index.cfm...415-a309-4742-bc3c-011f2c33ab60/startResult/1

FIND SOMETHING IN ETSY.
I wonder if there's a bondage Tux out there. Or like a pin-stripped straight jacket or something. Sadly, the more I study men's fashion, the more I realize that guys totally get shafted in the creativity department and availability. It's why I'd really like to get into making men's wear. Best of luck
eDressMe has a wonderful selection of prom dresses to choose - some of which are less than $100. I start selecting the dress that is right for me by convincing myself that I will be pretty when the prom night comes. Keep your options open as you select your dress. Try everything, try all good prom dress shops, before you dismiss it.
