Hi - question to all the other homeschoolers - anyone have good sources for good progressive homeschooling resources - especially in the areas of history and environmental science? I had this bright idea that I was going to start my 10 year old daughter on Zinn's "A People's History of the US" for history, but finding it really impossible... But I can't stand the average crap that passes for history - anyone have a suggestion? Also, we're trying to find some good environmental science stuff that ties things together as a system/whole, instead of focusing on little parts of the world... Any help would be appreciated!
I do not know if this will help...But here is a good site that I like for homeschooling. http://www.waldorfhomeschoolers.com/index.htm Nice website to explore. Lots of information and curriculums. Peace
We found the chapter on Columbus helpful for framing Columbus Day. I too am on the look out for unbiased and evidence rich history. We have a blog at www.progressive-homeschool.blogspot.com stop by and visit! Nika Progressive HomeSchooling Momma of 2
