problems dealing with ex-gf

Not sure where else to put this, so I'm gonna post it here.

short version: i lent my gf my xbox 360 because I was going back to college and I didn't have a tv there, ended up breaking up with her pretty soon after, but while i was at college.

now i'm home, and we're talking to each other again. she's told me she really wants to get back together with me, and i've said i might want to at some point too, but definitely not until after college, but she's really pushy about it, which is partially the reason i ended up going out with her in the first place and the reason i broke up with her.

most recent development with the xbox: i texted her tonight asking if she could swing by my house and drop it off some time tomorrow. her response was to text me back asking if i missed having sex with her, and it turned into this whole fucking discussion of our relationship. but i obviously texted her because i want the damn xbox back, but she completely ignored the question.

and i've told her clearly that there's no way we're getting together while i'm still in college, the distance thing sucks and i haven't told her this but i hate the idea of being stuck with one person only (not that i've cheated, it's too much work). the end of the text conversation tonight, after she sent "I. Want. You. Back." or something like that and then asked what i thought about it, and i said that i had already told her what i thought about a relationship now, and she didn't text back again after that.

so, how can i bring it up again in a way that'll actually result in me getting it back?

and the bigger question - how the fuck do i get out of this whole thing? even after i broke up with her, i still feel trapped and feel like she keeps sucking me back in. the problem is, yeah i do like her and have genuine affection for her, but i don't actually believe in love (another thing she doesn't know) and at times she's absolutely fucking crazy and annoying.

Alright, fuck this whole thing. I just got a call from this guy I know she's been fucking who she works with (she's told me that before), dude's like 35 or some shit, it's kinda weird. but anyway, the guy started telling me how i made a huge mistake, and how tight her pussy was around his cock right now. called from her phone too.

but yeah. fuck it, i'm done. just need to get the 360 and it's fucking over.

edit: forgot to mention, of course i hung up on the guy.

 

Well, she just texted me about the whole call thing. According to her, they were at denny's, he was drunk, she went to the bathroom, and he took her phone. but you know what? fuck if that matters to me. she wants me to forgive her for it, but why should i?

 

Ugh just go to her house and get it back yourself. Bring a friend if you have to, even better, bring a girl, even if they are just friends. Sometimes that's even better because she doesn't need to know you're just friends, and it can be a good deterrant.

 

Hell with the xbox for now, I'm pretty confident I'll be able to get it back somehow.

I'm much more concerned with getting the fuck out of this whole situation. I thought I finally had when I broke up with her, but she really does keep sucking me back in.

And now, after this whole drunk call from her fuck buddy thing went down, she knows I'm pissed about it, but she still wants to hang out with me on Wednesday. Fuck that, I'm not gonna.

But any advice on getting rid of her? She seems fucking crazy half the time. When I broke up with her also, other than the whole insanity thing, she was clingy as fuck. Like she would get pissed if I didn't call her for more than like 2 days. And then she would want to talk to me even after I texted and told her I was doing shit with my friends.

 

Forget the xbox and forgive but forget her. Don't lend anything out that you don't mind never seeing again and try to avoid unhealthy attachments to objects.

 

I'm not even sure anymore with this whole drunk call thing. I'm really pissed about it, and she doesn't even understand why, and wants me to hang out with her tomorrow. I told her I don't even want to see her, and now she's begging to see me tomorrow. I don't even know if I'm taking the right side on this one, since it's possible it really wasn't her fault (even then though the whole situation that allowed that to happen was her fault anyway, sorry if that didn't make sense - i'm pretty baked). but yeah, idk if I'm the one who's wrong by being pissed at her.

 

this girl sounds almost exactly like me. Just ask her for it back plain and simple. i would give it back to you if i was in the situation. just dont tell her you never want to see her again or you have a new gf after she gives it to you. then leave and never answer her calls or talk to her. she will have to move on

 

Basically. if she doesn't? get a restraining order.

 

She doesn't even understand why I'm pissed about the drunk call, like legitimately. I refused to see her today, and she got really pissed off. Problem is, I can't actually explain why I am, I just know I'm fucking infuriated with her.

just don't let her change the subject. no matter what her response is, just keep asking about the xbox.

...then block her number or change yours if she's stalking you.

 

If you have the original box that the xbox came in, if worse comes to worse, you can always say she stole it and give the cops the serial number. They'll promptly confiscate it from her, you'll have your xbox back, and it will be up to you whether or not to press charges.

 

I haven't even mentioned the xbox since the other night when she just changed the subject right away. Then the whole drunk call thing went down, and it hasn't come up since then.

She's texting me right now about how I shouldn't be pissed at her for it, and how I'm being ridiculous because it wasn't really her fault. Almost feels like she's guilt tripping me. (Any comment on this would be nice. I really don't know if I'm right or not)

It kind of sucks that all this ended up happening though, I've known her for like 6 years now, and she's been one of my best friends for most of that. At this point I think the best thing to do would be to completely shut her out of my life though. Just don't quite know how to do it. And then the whole xbox thing just complicates the issue even more.

It sounds like you've given up the XBox (if not, that's what small claims court is for)
It might be an idea to give up on the girl. "Friends" isn't working, that leaves you two options.
Can you set your phone to automatically reject a calls from a particular number?

i kinda got the same problem except hes got my guitar. i just got it too and hes had it for like a month. i keep telling him to give it back and he always says he forgot fuckin ass hole.....lol

 

I'm seriously not trying to sound like an asshole here, but your original post made me laugh because all this crazy shit is happening with this girl and all you really want is your xbox back. And I totally understand. Fuck all the bullshit, guys just want to get drunk and play video games.
