i have 2 cacti in one pot......they are about 18 inches. had about 3 inches of growth. someone knocked it off my table and the new growth on the top snapped off on both cacti. one of them got split at the middle point.....will that mend itself? pleace help!!!!
I think that as long as the break hasn't sealed it should be able to repair. Or you could just go ahead and replant the 2 and have 4 short plants.
i had two cactus in one pot which was blown off a ledge not once, but 4 times falling 12 feet to the ground (in plastic pot). Some damage to both plants, but not only did they live, but they started branching, and getting taller. Have since transplanted to big heavy pot, and all five are doing fine. These cacti are extremely resilient. Consult youre local nursery...
what would be the best way to cut and plant these? just cut where its split and stick it in soil sticking up?
http://www.sacredcactus.com/index.htm This guys sells cuttings on ebay (use to be a customer) Just click around on the links at the top, he's a pro with these plants. note: It'll take awhile for the plants to root so your gonna have to be patient with them
