    so i see they're making a new hitchhikers guide to the galaxy movie. i know i'm intrigued, though i assume they'll ruin it anyway

    They can't ruin it, it's an impossiblity. All the different mediums the Hitchhickers stories come into, be they radio, tv, movie, book, whatever, all contradict each other, that's how Douglas Adams wanted it. So they only have a few things, like character names and basic storyline the like, to stick to, otherwise they have quite a bit of freedom. It's supposed to be different from it's other forms, hence why they can't actually ruin it ;)
