What do priests do all day, when they aren't saying Mass? (no molestation jokes, please; I'm asking seriously).
read the bible and prepare for the next sermon, have lunch with other priest friends? I Know my old pastor used to jog a lot, marathons and such, travel, do work, probably having do with perish matters.
haha, I know, I know. I was about to post it, then though about the implications of my question, and well, thought better of it.
Priest also have to do funerals, weddings, charity work, but also they have to go out and visit many people often, sick/dying people, or people who can't get to church for some reason.
Alot of preists have degrees in phychiatry, history, archeology, even business, and wind up teaching or working in those fields; for the church or their affiliates. The church pays for their education.
Probably not as much as you would think. I've met a few preists in my travels and, except for the fact that everything they do is somehow related to the church, their lives really aren't that much different from most peoples.
