What have you done today to make you feel proud? :D

    Watch this for inspiration :)

    Pride meaning:
A sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect.
Pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession, or association.

I succeeded in not sounding like a complete gimp on MSN despite being completely twisted on 3 drops of acid.

I did not watch the link.

But I was thinking about your question.

At first a did not think I had much in my life to be proud of.

I have had tons of success in life and I suppose I should be proud of that. But pride is not a word I am comfortable with.

On reflection however, I am proud that I did not end my life when I experienced hell on earth for several years. It would have been easy to quit and throw in the towel.

So I am proud I managed to get through those difficult times.

It allowed me to become who I am now.

I'm proud how much you must have thought about this, fitz

You have to be proud of something.

I agree with lode! :D Battling through those hard times and coming out the other end is definately something to be proud of. I'm proud of you.

I don't think pride is a bad word or should be one of the 'seven sins'.

On a sidenote, Unknown American, something strange happened to me the other day. I woke up, and either you had said something really nice to me the night before (on here), or I dreamed it

    Strange things.

I was going to be proud of myself for eating a banana and yoghurt for lunch... But we had no yoghurt. So, I'm proud of myself for eating a banana and a pear.

I haven't eaten broccoli in years.

I do eat a lot of veggies. Not broccoli. I'm not proud of that, but defiantly not ashamed.

No. But that sound like it was hell for you.

I talked a tiny bit about it in your thread http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=360175

Seem like we have many things in common.:cheers2:

Thank you. I try to be nice here. I do not always succeed.

    Fruit is good for you!:D

I love broccoli, I have since I was a little kid. Of course, it has to be with something, like cheese, or cheese and rice (mmm, my favorite!), or chicken noodles...lol. But I'm the only one who likes it in the house and when I was out grocery shopping, my dad was picking up dinner in the deli and they had some broccoli and rice casserole and I got some for myself. :D

I'm proud that I was smooth enough to not get caught stealing that beer and Redline from the store earlier.

I'm also proud that I made it through the day without slipping into some sort of depression, anger, or anxiety.
