Preventing accidents with "Tunnel Stretching Plugs"

I have a small tunnel anus stretching plug from Ballistic Metal, I used it every time without a problem. However once, I drank coffee or something after it was inserted and it gave me the runs and it made a mess on the floor.... I want to avoid that at all costs again and the embarrassment.

How can I prevent something like this in the future. MEO 24/7's offer's stoppers but I am not sure if it is compatible.
