Pretty Damn Primal

I just went outside to have a smoke, and witnessed the most primal thing ever.

Right infront of my eyes, the spider proceeded to catch the worm, in mid jump, off a shrub and landed on my porch door thingy... and then proceeded to chew on it. It let me get close to it and didn't even flinch, it knew that it was a badass and that I wouldn't fuck with it.

Primal.

What primal things have you witnessed lately?

I'm trying to figure out what kind of a spider it is. Anyone know?

I'm leaning towards some sort of wolf spider. I'm trying to find a Florida spider that matches the design on the back.

It's a spider eat prey world out there.

I think that it's a tad too big for a jumping spider, and the body looks a little differently shaped. I was thinking it was a jumping spider for a second, but then I looked at a bunch of pictures and decided it wasn't one.

It really is pretty big, probably the size of a generic unopened cellphone. (first damn association that came to mind)

 

Yeah, I think that is some kinda wold spider.

I saw me slam my fists repeatedly into someones mouth in boxing. Primal.

 

thats a pretty sweet spider. today i watched a black snake dodge a rather large crow and proceed to shimmy up a stick over a creek and up a cliffside right to my feet. it was pretty intense

my uncle was telling me about winston salem...and what it was like growing up there...one story involves him swimming in a pond and almost swimming into a tangle of water moccosins...that would have sucked...

but i work at a bar, so yeah i see primal behavior in men and women all the time

 

Spiders are the ultimate predators. If there were giant spiders we'd all be sitting in webs right now.
