I was wondering if anybody could tell me how long dried mushrooms would normally stay good for.

Sorry I am very inexperienced with shrooms and I currently have the chance to get some but dont have the time available to try them actually out.

    Any help is appreciated

I posted somewhere else.. but can't be assed looking :p

Once dry, seperate your doses and shove em in the freezer. Seperate them so you don't have to keep defrosting the whole batch whenever you wanna take a trip - not sure if that can decrease potency or not.
Downside is that if you wanna take more than your sorted doses you gotta defrost another batch and top it up, but it's still better than the whole lot.

    This was nicked from Shroomery:

The main things that break down pretty much any active chemical are heat, light, humidity, and oxygen (there are probably a bunch more but I can't think of any other main ones).

If you limit all of thoose factors by say keeping them in a vacuum sealed bag in a freezer then you should be good!

The greatest threat to your potency (psilocybin) is heat, moisture, light and oxygen. The best way to store dried mushrooms is to first throughly dry them out as much as possible by placing them in a air tight glass container with a large amount of desiccant to reduce the moisture level to a few percent (at this point the mushrooms are so brittle you can crush them into dust). Then place the throughly dried mushrroms in a large glass jar with a large desiccant packet and an oxygen absorbing packet to create an ideal moisture / oxygen free long term storage environment. Lastly place this jar in a cool dark place like a closet or basement.
Here is the website I get my storage supplies from: http://www.sorbentsystems.com/order_...FaEhtAodVGiypQ

The honey tek is messy, sticky and has been long since proven to not preserve potency.
