For me I prefer: Mystery/Thriller Sci-fi Fantasy Biography Comic Books not saying I won't read other genres and have but these are what I lean towards more recently
I've ticked fantasy and non-fiction as I do enjoy these, though really my preferred genre is literary fiction, which would be too difficult to pigeon hole into a specific genre as LF novels often contain elements from across the spectrum....
I ticked all the boxes except Horror (real life is scary enough for me) and Romance - Mills and Boon should have stuck with Jack London and the like. P-P is right that a lot of books can't be pigeon-holed so easily, such as for instance detective stories set against a SF or supernatural background.
i agree there are many that can't be pigeon-holed. i was going to put a section for "general fiction" but ran out of room. you get the general idea though and it allows for more discussion. besides, the polls will only let you have 10 categories.
I agree with Peace, I'm not a great one for genre fiction, so literary fiction, whatever that is, and the philosophical novel
So you'd read the Marquis de Sade's "The 120 Days of Sodom"? Actually, sounds like a good laugh. Wonder if ebay has it.. second thoughts, it might be "used" uke:
I'm more of a non-fiction person as I like to see what goes on in the world...but I also cannot resist a good comic book, especially graphic novels.
