Great Tutorial. I'm new to container and small space gardening and love seeing other peoples ideas and methods. It was good to see that you used some recycled wood for the box. I love re using to and plan on trying this method for growing potatos this year. I will be using boards from old pallets I found.

Just an idea as far as keeping the middle and lower levels watered by using 2 liter bottles of water. Have holes drilled in the side of the condo/box the size of the bottle opening with the cap on and using sponge as a wick to draw the water into those layers. and by having a hole in the bottom of the 2 liter bottle it could be refilled as needed (?) or maybe the caps could be left on the bottles and a few small holes drilled in the caps to just allow a slow trickle of water. I'll have to draw up a plan for that.

Good luck with the potatos !

    peace and bright blessings ~*~

I like the blog post option of a soaker hose. She said she didn't need it, but a drip line or soaker hose could save a crop in a windy week.

I tried the sawdust and trash can version years ago with some success. Organic when it wasn't in every market.

Now I like small potatoes, so a bin/tower is a great option.
    Better get scavenging!
