I remember the episode of Red Dwarf where Lister and Rimmer crash land on an ice planet and they have limited supplies which include a pot noodle and a tin of dog food.

Lister: "Oh great, well I know what I'll be eating last then! I hate pot noodle!"

And I'm inclined to agree. If something's meant to taste of meat, I'd like it to have been near a dead animal at some point. Bring on the dog food! Full of goodness, full of vitamins, full of marrowbone jelly....

Or the episode where they create two clones of Red Dwarf - a good one and bad one. After landing on the good one for a look around, Lister is amazed when he discovers that even the Pot Noodles on that clone taste good :D

I think it says something when a man as scummy and tasteless as Lister can't bring himself to eat a pot noodle....

I love them[IMG] I think they get a bad press because people don't prepare them properly. They add too much or too little water, don't wait two minutes before stirring, don't stir enough, etc. I am something of an expert on Pot Noodle preparation:D

I always prefer to put too much water in. I can't stand it when there are little un-dissolved lumps of the flavour powder, and it always seems to happen no matter how well I prepare it

There should never be undissolved lumps if only your stir it diligently in the first place - twice, with a two-minute wait between[IMG] And putting in too much water ruins the whole concentration and consequent flavour dynamic! You have much to learn[IMG]

many times at festivals have i resorted to the good old safe pot noodle idea... rather than the 15 gallon, experimental stew thats going on surrounded by people tripping off their head that think its a good idea to bit in "this little stick..." or "the spider was dead ALREADY..."

Yes I was all excited too. :)

But now I'm sad as he isnt' back. :(

he had posted he was only going to look for another ISP that was more affordable when he left. But that was ages ago now. He'd said he'd be back mid-August (i think). But he's still not here.

    makes me sad *sniff*

The best pot noodle is definately the barbeque one or the brown pot.
