so to clear things up. I am not speaking bad against pot smokers. I am simply saying most pot smokers are close minded because they say pot is harmless.

So basically 1 point of trying to prove is that lots of pot smokers have a hard time saying yeah pot does harm but I don't care and I smoke weed and I like to be high and I prefer the high life over the sober life. The United Kingdom has done several studies on the how marijuana effects the mind. Go read about it.

No it does not cause severe problems. What weed does is very very MILD! but like I said it's not harmless. and like I said for people who have a sort of mental illness such as anxiety, depression, or whatever, weed only makes it worse and that's a fact and if you don't want to believe the truth then fine whatever.

just so maybe you guys can understand me better. I have won several wrestling matches high. I have won several street fights high. I have done Algebra tests high and got an A. I have given a speech high in front of my class and got an A on my presentation. I have smoked weed for 6 years and out of those 5 years smoked almost daily. I can run 10 miles even though I smoke weed but if I smoked cigarettes I'd start breathing real hard around 3 miles.

SO HOW ABOUT THIS GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: Rather than saying pot does harm I will say pot alters your consciousness. some may consider that good some may consider that bad it's however you view it personally. that's all pot does. you mind never does go back to how it was previously. It's simply a change and to some a preferable change.

Everything you have said is personal opinion, nothing is fact. Altering your consciousness is not harmful. It's expansion of the mind...allowing you to see life from different angles and new perspectives.

there is nothing scientific about that statement. Next.

Why did you post this thread? It's a total waste of time.

I don't even know why I'm bothering but you can say this about any life experience....after watching a new movie or going somewhere new your consciousness has been expanded and there is no going back.

like I said it's your personal belief as to what altering your consciousness is. some consider it good some consider it bad. It's all opinion yes.

you are altering your brain from it's original state though. and doing it permanently . therefore you brain have been damaged from it's natural state to a drug induced state. you brain has been damaged. it's just your personal opinion if you consider that damage. but in scientific terms how can it not be scientific?

your mind really doesnt go back to how it was before??
Like is your memory affected forEVER>!>>?

i noticed when i started smoking that my memory got horrible and my grades dropped alot when i used to do it alot about 2 yrs ago. then i stopped for like majority of the next year, only doing it occasionally, but then my parents found out i did bunch of drugs and had to go to counselling so i stopped. and then i did it again like 6 months later and now, 7 months after that ive started again for a straight 2 weeks, and today i did it twice. it really is addicting to me cause i have social anxiety AND depression so this makes everything better. but when i come down, everything is horrible and i feel like i act weird

i know it definitely does do harm, cause of psychological issues and the fact that it kills brain cells, which you need to learn or work. so yeah i agree with you

well the short term memory affects of weed is only temporary. weed does not affect long term memory.

person's mind can never go back exactly to how it functioned before, yep. but a person can always improve themselves. A person can always learn new things, meditate and reach a good place in their mind.

any mind altering substance is a cloud.

Just go read about the several studies the United Kingdom did on it.

Everything can be harmful if you abuse it. Its all about moderation which few seem to be able to do.

you blatantly said that it was a fact that cannabis killed brain cells, which is 100% false. This thread kills brain cells...I'm done. And I wasn't saying you in particular, I meant people in general like to blame their psychological issues on a plant. But seriously I'm done here....beating a dead horse.

    Anything can kill brain cells.
Living in a smoggy city, working on your car, holding your breath to swim, anything.
Brain cells are lost when they are deprived of oxygen.. be it carbon monoxide from smoking or from holding your breath to swim..
You aren't actively losing brain cells as a result of smoking the whole time you're high, due to being high..
