Pot in Microwave

So my buddy and his friends were out of weed and smoking resin. Then they got the bright idea to put the bowl in the microwave. In ten seconds, smoke was billowing out of the microwave and filling the room. They inhaled the smoke and said they got ripped. I personally would't do this but what are your thoughts? It might be a good way to clean a bowl but it does create a bad smell.

Microwaves destroy THC, from what I hear. It gets too hot too fast and the THC is completely vaporized.

Yeah. There is a certain temperature at which THC cannot survive. I'm not sure what that temperature is though.

 

Don't use a metal bowl obviously.

it has nothing to do with temperature. microwave heats different substances to different levels, depengin on water concentration and other factors. it is the fact that you are beaming radiation into the weed that could break down the thc

 

You sure? Temp can vape the THC in the oven if it's too hot, and microwaves heat shit up hotter and faster than an oven does, so what's the difference?

I'm no expert, but that's how I always unsderstood it. Maybe you're just talking about the specific workings of microwaves vs. conventional ovens. Please clarify.
