Yeah it's safe, but the ambien will outweigh the pot. I smoke pot daily and have had an ambien prescription for several years, so the combination has come up many a time. For me, it's hard to tell the pot high over the ambien high, which isn't that easy to know is there (even though you're really fucked up). It's a decent combo, defenitely safe (though I wouldn't say ambien is safe above 10mg).
