i never really got a chance to get into them, there are too many other great bands I'm checking out right now. one time i was tripping really hard on some doses at a festie, and i ended up making my way into the crowd before a my morning jacket show. i stayed for about an hour, and watched the sound check and played cards with a few people i met. then i got L.S.D.-A.D.D. and decided to leave before the band even started playing. i really wanted to check em' out, but i forgot what i was doing, and left.

I'm still not sure how I feel about them, not jammy enough for me. I really need to get into some of these smaller bands. I realy like Railroad earth which doesn't seem to have a large national following and I like hot buttered rum, but they've been noticed already.
im going to be seeing railroad earth on 7/20 ar "a bears picnic" festival. and i would see hot buttered rum and the natural breakdown on earth day, but i have to work. smaller acts jam as hard or harder than the big acts.
Railroad is playing here april 7th. I unfortunately had already purchased tickets to the Avs game and it'll be my first chance to see Peter Forsberg playing puck in denver in many years, so I am skipping that show. Many of these smaller bands really know how to Jam. Its like Orsino2 and I were discussing earlier, old cheese vs new cheese. I think old cheese jams a lot better than the newer cheese, but I love it all just the same. There seems to be so many small jam bands, that I have difficulty finding one and following it. It looks like my next decent show will be two nights of Gov't Mule at the end of April. There's a free spearhead show at a ski resort in a week in a half which I'm going to try and check out but I have a feeling itd be a mediocre show.
