After I take LSD, I tend to get minor visuals distortions for the next 4-7 days. Some textures and patterns shifting/moving slightly, words moving, etc. Does anyone else seem to get this to some extent?

Yea I do, but not usually for that long a time. Everybody's different though, I wouldn't worry about it unless the visuals start talking to you or otherwise interfering with your ability to function in everyday 'normal' life.

I have this 24/7 now, eh my mistake. No big deal though... I guess you could be a kind of person who would be to some degree vulnerable to hppd or related stuff. Id tell you not to take lsd too often.

    But thats just my opinion

I have had these also. They lasted awhile for me, but went away after long enough. I noticed if I tried for awhile and concentrated I could make them move around more. I could stare at a pattern for awhile and it would eventually begin to move some. I would not worry to much about it tho, it only happens a little and goes away after awhile.

I would say for myself that If I wasn't experiencing some post usage visuals that would be not the norm.I have to say they were quite more intense 72 hours after ingestion that at any other time. However there have been some that have been fairly intense.Nothing that would bother me though.I also have noticed lack of food or sleep increases the intensity of the flashback experience.I suppose that neurotransmitters such as sertonin and and naturally occurring dimethlytryptamine(DMT) might influence the intensity of the flashbacks as well. When one is sleep deprived or is fasting and/or starving there seems to be an increase of these naturally occurring nuerotrasmitters(brain chemicals). Just a thought I might throw out there.

yeah. i took acid like 2 weeks ago, and i still don't feel normal anymore. I dont feel like i have a presence. Is that normal? I hope so. 'Cause if it's not, i'd be pretty scared.

Is it just a problem with your perception of reality, or do you get weird thoughts and other anormal psychological phenomenons?

Well If it's only that you don't feel quite yourself, it's probably just anxiety. Don't focus on these perceptions that would be just feeding them...Im certain that LSD can leave you with permanent psychological changes, but I would worry about this too much. Just wait, and try to stay clean from drugs, you should be back to normal.

I think in time you should be okay. Like the post before me I think you have anixety and you're obsessing over it. That can be dangerous in that it can lead to paranoia. However the after effects of LSD are not dangerous. This is a very powerful substance.I guess you know that. I'm 33. I've probably tripped over 200 hundred times and I lead a fairly productive life. You might be more sensitive to enviromental stimuli after using. This is what I'm guessing.I started using around 15 as well. This feeling of dissassociation you are experiencing is normal as well. When you really think about it what is normal anyhow? It's different for each individual. It's a very subjective experience.I wish you well.It might be that LSD is not for you.Have you tried any other hallucinogens?

I told myself to keep dosin when I started feeling strange last autumn, I did, went into psychosis, and had to take shit medication that make you sleep 16 hours a day for a few months...Now i gotta be real careful with lsd.

Hehe not too good of an advice, you gave him, in my own opinion :p

well... i tripped about a month ago, and those crazy visuals and stuff STILL happen to me, even though the actual "trip" has been long gone... its mostly minor stuff, some shifting of the ground, words moving, that sort of thing... obviously not as strong as an actual trip, but its different than real life, too....

my brother has tripped about 200 times, and he has visuals and stuff, minor stuff like mine, pretty much everyday.... he and i have noticed though, that it comes on a LOT more when you are stoned.... its odd though, ive only tripped maybe a dozen, 20 times, i dont know, somewhere in there, and i still get visuals, same as my brother, and he's taken over 200!!! am i just really sensetive to LSD???

I do get weird thoughts occasionally during and after an acid trip, of course, but nothing serious. Nothing that would qualify as psychotic symptoms. I don't hear voices or anything like that. The visuals are not associated with any body feelings (no euphoria, dysphoria, anxiety, etc). After tripping on acid I feel different for several days, as I'm sure most people do, but the "feeling different" fades after a few days to a week. However for the next week or so I tend to zone out on things a lot more frequently. This goes away after a week or two.

Similar case with me, although it's been several weeks now and the residual visual effects have pretty much stopped entirely. I do sometimes get brief perceptual changes (such as the background of something shifting and the foreground staying in the same place--or vice versa--, or barely shifting text) but they're not nearly as distracting as several weeks ago. Things are more or less normal now, if anything could really be called normal.

yes, be careful using lsd. If it caused all that, quit taking it. Why risk going through all of that again?
