Post-It Note Poems

These are all just a bunch of poems I wrote one day when I only had a pad of post-it notes to use for paper. Tell me what you think...

Hell Yeah
Hell yeah I mess around
And damn right I get down
I have tons of fun
And I don't care cause I'm still young
Don't need to settle down
Just need for you to make me moan
So peace out
I'm gonna get me some

Beautiful
You told me I was beautiful
and it meant so much to me.
But when i looked in the mirror
there was no beauty I could see.
I asked you why you lied.
Then you told me to look closer
because I'm beautiful on the inside.

And These Are The Words I Whispered In His Ear Before He Slid Off His Jeans
Trust me honey,
you're not even close to the man of my dreams.
But just for tonight,
you'll do.

Untitled
What is it about you boy?
What alway leaves me wanting more?
All I've ever wanted was to love you,
since when is that not enough?

Collapsed Lungs
I'm looking for reasons not to breathe
and I find your name etched in every one.
Give my heart a reason to continue beating
can you find beauty in my collapsed lungs?

Suicidal tendencies
are all I think
and all I see.
No shrink could ever comfort my soul.
So I find resolution in rock n'roll

Petals
You slipped a wilted rose into my hand
but baby petals can only get you so far.
And "he loves me not" keeps counting me out.

Finally
She's let him go
and finally moved on.
And now he realizes
she's the one.

A Haiku
Once I tried to write
Just one simple haiku
But I just Could not

Yay! I did it!
And now I just screwed it up.

Trying
I'm still trying to love you
and I'm not sure why.
All I know is
you make it harder every day.

Yo, "hell yeah" and "And These Are The Words I Whispered In His Ear Before He Slid Off His Jeans" are chill poems, pretty fucking funny! I can just imagine someone getting that shit on their mirror or something form a post it note. Some cool lil slant rhymes going on. THis phrase:
And "he loves me not" keeps counting me out.

is pretty clever. Nice work. Some of them get a little angsty but recover, personally I would write that angst shit out, you're better than that.

 

They weren't really meant to be funny. But I guess they kinda seem like it. I'm a teenager...what do you expect? I can't help but to write angsty. If I could do better I would but that's pretty much all I'm good at is the angsty poems.

but I just don't have the judgment or whatnot that I would use to make the piece good =P

That's the great thing about post-its, a sheet for every filthy chain of related thoughts that pop up. I hear people do that shit in office buildings now...wierd.

This one's my favorite. I like it a lot. I'm not to fond on the "roses are red" rhymes, but each to his own. Keep writing.

haha, It's a great escape in a far out sense ya know?

 

they were all pretty good, but "roses are red, violets are blue" poems kind of remind me of little kiddie poems that kids write for mothers/fathers/valentines day. just because thats what i associate them with, though. that might just be me...

Wow those were good YouRemindMeOfYou! I loved Hell Ya. It sounds like something I would write. But I suck at poetry. My only attempt at poetry is the Roses are Red kind of poems...how do you write like that?

 

those were good!! who were they about? in the last one you should've swithed the first two lines that way it would match though.

and thanks alot nakedundermyclothes. I LOVE your nickname! It's sooo funny. I guess I just write what I think...just try it. I write everything out then I put it into poem form and sometimes make it rhyme. Just write it all out then try it that way...
