I did actually make a self portrait oil pastels without being allowed to look in the mirror when I was 16, so I guess 11th grade? And not to boast but I was very impressed with my accuracy and it turned out very much like a real picture of me. And Aura saw a picture I made with lead only, a giraffe with all kinds of psychedelic cross stitching and a flower blooming in the background that somehow my little brother still had (I must have made that like 8 years ago lol) and I was again impressed at my artistic ability. Sadly I havent done any serious art outside of music since i was 16, and I seem to have completley lost the ability to get into it and turn out something worthwhile. I blame the PCP abuse.
I had to do the same, the self portrait without looking in the mirror. Mine sucked And I love that giraffe picture so much. I want to steal it, I really really do.
I think they are cute, but I've just never been crazy about them. I do like to watch them eating leaves out of a tree.
Aw, I got to feed the giraffes at the zoo ,and they are amazingly sweet freakishly huge animals.soo cool. ... I didn't think so- but then I remembered I had some, from when I was taking an art class in home school, and started this project I never finished. i will take a pic later. I was reallly hoping I had the one from an 8th grade art project were this guy had to draw me and I had to draw him- but I just have the one I drew of him.
Yeah and ride it around the town, but not as in you're a slave giraffee, more like you're my friend and we travel together
We did those! I painted it and it got put up on the dining hall with some others. I've done one in year 8, freakishly depressing, I hated it. I did a caricature when I went on work experience, didn't look overly like me and I got one done of me when this guy did it in art (when I did one of him). I have none of them because I lost my usb, I got rid of the one I did and the other was at dumped at school somewhere.
What if we had a flying giraffe that could straighten out its body during flight like a dragon? I would put spikes on the end of its horns and smack people haha
I did one of those in 7th grade art. I got lucky and got the kid with huge ears, huge eyes, and a dorky bowl cut. Super easy to draw. But alas, our art teacher was a bitch and kept most of our projects.
6 that I've drawn of myself 2 that my mom has from artists that drew me- one as a still life the other from a picture. 3 from characature artists I keep them all in my portfolio that is behind my bed now that I finally got it out of the closet. I'm going to take more pictures of my crappy work to share with others. *edit* Oh and several of my previous art classmates have drawings of me. One guy has two - and in one he gave me a mustach and beard. Sexy.
