I've known him for a while, and he moved to Colorado a while back. We still talk very often through the phone. On Saturday I was telling him how I was planning to legally grow San Pedro and had to explain that it was Peyote in a sense, but would take alot shorter time, and we talked about him doing shrooms with me this summer when he came back and all that. Then, last night, at about 9 o'clock, I get a NINE page long text message from his mother talking about how they read all his messages from about a month back (God knows what else we've talked about, as well as his other friends) and they're keeping his phone and how they're very disappointed in both of us. I immediately called them, I figured I'd back him up for what it was worth, and I told them how important it was for them to listen to what he had to say and so on, and how when my mother didn't and just told me how wrong I was, all it did was make me hate her ever since, and I told them if they want to have any say in their son's future, that they have to show him they're on his side and not condemn him for what he's been doing. I have no way of contacting him and it sucks. I really want to know what's happening. Poor kid. If any of you remember, he JUST posted a few days back on how great of a day he was having and how he got lucky and found his first official hook-up since moving there... and then this happens.
Damn, that really bites. It was good of you to call, and explain things to give him a chance. I hope they listen to him.

Thanks^ Yeah, he's usually pretty smart about it. I guess he just began to trust his parents. Its funny... about a month ago, they caught him smoking a cigar, and they agreed that they would just buy him cigars every once in a while and let him smoke them as long as he didn't do it too often. His parents are scary Baptists... like mine... but atleast his are nice. I'm not sure how he'll be punished. They offered to have both our families come together to chat, "confidentially" about the issues... I just kind of laughed and said that my mother has already told me she would kick me out of the house of she caught me doing anything ever again... but I told them they were more than welcome to go ahead and tell her, because I'm kinda miserable living with my horribly close-minded mother, and my sister who just follows everything she says. (18 years old) Oh, and now I can't even tell him that there's gonna be an 8th season of Scrubs... He loves that show
Damn when i saw the thread, I thought he got busted by the cops. At least that didn't happen. It still sucks though. Hopefully they won't come down on him too hard. He's a cool guy. Too bad our choice of a pass-time is so frowned upon by society that it prevents people from being objective and actually learning a little something about things before condeming someone.
He was new in the state, so a kid was trying to hustle him big time, He's got his head about him, but at the time he was desperate and didn't really care, and just accepted the loss one time. But he never unintentionally allowed it to happen. He used to come down here like once every two months and we'd always smoke up like the old days in the summer. Now I don't think his parents will ever let me and him hang out alone. We'll definitely find a way though. He had also been working his butt off to find some salvia, and plans fell through like 4 times for him, when it was in his grasp. He was also coming in a few weeks to do shrooms with me for the first time... it really sucks for him. I think I atleast talked his parents down from being completely ignorant. I told them from my perspective how shitty my relationship is now with my mother because she blew my reasons off, so I think they may atleast allow him to explain. But his mother is WAY dramatic. When she first talked to me about this, she made a reference to not wanting her son to end up on the Jerry Springer show... for smoking WEED! Its funny when you think about it I guess. I just really wish I knew what was happening right now. There's really nothing they can do to punish him... he didn't really hang out with many people outside of school. Its sad though. Its such a temptation to simply slip someone like that some mushrooms in a special tea or something.. then inform them on the journey on which they are about to embark, then see if they still disagree with the phenomonally spiritual experience you can have while tripping. but of course people like that would sue their own kid. Uhh.... the cops would give a shit about text messages talking about shrooming this summer, or growing peyote in Texas... I'm told cops in colorado are mostly cool anyways, and he's not stupid like everyone else to get caught by the cops. He's smart when he smokes, and wouldn;t be caught dead holding in public. Its pretty much as bad as it gets for him. you don;t have much to lose when you're an obedient pot-head.
