You would think that common sense would prevail rather than new laws but then again...... This child was suspended for biting off bits of his pop tart and the shape was a gun when he finished. He was actually aiming for it to look like a mountain but it did not work out well. They suspended him and now there is a bill 1058 "The Reasonable School Discipline Act of 2013" being proposed so that these situations do not continue to happen. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/11/pop-tart-gun-bill_n_2852472.html Then to top it all off, Source: http://michellemalkin.com/2013/03/05/student-suspended-pastry-gun/ I consider safety for our kids in school to be really important but a pop tart gun is taking it too far. Crazy adults.
i hope some thoughtful parent is going to start a petition to have background checks done on anyone buying pop tarts the problem is worsened by the easy access to pop tarts on the street they really need to have an amnesty day so that people will be encouraged to turn in their pop tarts at local police stations without getting in trouble
They should also eliminate the letter L from school because it looks like a gun pointing in the air. If the capital letter L is written on a piece of paper and then that piece paper is turned 90 degrees to the right..
just don't say "BANG, BANG" and point it at your friends if anyone didn't click the link, do it and watch the video, it's worth it.
I wonder how many grade 4 or 5 students they could get with a banana by using the standard of one of our students used food to make inappropriate gestures that disrupted the class.
