Pop, Soda, Soda-Pop, Or Coke?

Let's get this war started? What do you call carbonated soft drinks?

I call it soda! Pop is lame! Soda pop even lamer! Coke is okay only if it's a cola! Even if it's not Coca Cola!

 

I've only known one person to call all cola "Coke", and she was from the south. I call Coke-a-Cola Coke, and nothing else.

fizzy drinks. The only thing I call coke is coke and the only thing I call soda is soda

 

I usually say coke because that's mostly what I get, occasionally I'll say soda though. The cool thing about saying coke is there are a lot of double entendres at ones disposal to make it sound like you are asking for cocaine.

 

Soda. Most people around here call it coke but i started calling it soda at some point for some reason

 

how about no thanks, although its what i usually drink when i go to a fast food place, which isn't something i often do. i even buy the stuff occasionally, as its an easier liquid to get down when i have a sore throat, though its not (the sweetners in it) generally good for the causes of one. what do i call it? grep'swasser, i.e. belchwater, or, pendant that i am, carbonated beverage. i also grew up where most people called it coke, which i know why i stopped calling it that. for one thing, the ones i like are mostly not colas, and coke is one of those too big brand names, for something other people make and frequently better.

i frequently don't call it anything. it never comes to me when i do.

I call it another word entirely. But, I don't know how to spell it. It's like a cross between coke and some bootleg Spanish word. I had speech problems when I was younger becuase Spanish was my first language, I was starting to lose my hearing, and I just refused to speak, so I made up words for a lot of things. There is even a video of me asking my mom for whatever I called it. And even my brother and sister, who are older went along calling it that. Other than that I say Pepsi or Coke.

 

When you try to say Can does your speech problem make you say it like Kane ? Like "Coke Kane". lol That'd be funny

So if u dont mind I'd like you to answer the question then: do you call them fizzy drinks or soda?

 

I tend to call it crap.... As in "I don't drink that crap"

 

carbonated soft drinks I call fizzy drinks. carbonated water I call soda or soda water. coca cola and knock-off ecquivalents I call coke.

 

I bet you go to fast food places all the time, drink soft drinks all the time, and just as frequently refer to them by name

 

Soft drinks in Australia, because if it doesnt have alcohol, then you are soft
