It's horrible... really.. HORRIBLE!!! I heard that totally, there MEANWHILE died more than 85 000 people ...
Wasn't just indonesia. Hit almost every country anywhere near the indian ocean. It's very very tragic. I heard on NPR the other day that the US is only giving $15 million in help and I realized that is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. It's a joke... considering we spend hundreds of billions of dollars, if not trillions on worthless shit (ie IRAQ!).
President Bush said that because the countries in the Indian Ocean and Asia didn't help us during the hurricanes that hit Florida, we're not going to do much for them... basically... not only that but I thought it was pathetic than on the news, they said "7 Americans lost in quake" fucking idiots. I lost a cousin in the earthquake... we don't even know where he is... he was on a trip to Sumatra but lived in Jakarta and Bali...
Maybe... people just arent dying fast enough, and god needed to speed up the process a little bit? but all in all it is a sad event
i agree man, sometimes i think i spend entirely too much money on pot and not anything else... i swore to myself the next time i get money i'm gonna donate at least a portion to the disaster, rather than paying $50 for another eighth. i think it's time to think about someone other than myself who needs it more than i do.
lol how the hell was indonesia and india and thailand and stuff meant to help america's hurricanes? what the fuck sort of a deal is that, america is the most powerful country in teh world, it has given itself the responsibility to help little countries, and not require some sort of payback or something to make it valid evidently, not enough americans died to make it an issue
i dont smoke, but i appreciate the sentiment behind this. i'm returning some unnecessary christmas gifts and donating the money from that. i cant imagine not having clean water to drink.
Bingo. America doesn't give a shit about anything but itself. Nothing we do is altruistic or for the greater good...it's only for our good, and if it helps us to help others (status in the world, trade relations, OIL, etc), we do it
