Hey, I've been wondering ever since I started my journey is how some people get this really cool looking tied back hair, but they use their own hair to do the tying. I know some of you women here have long hair, and I was wondering if you could explain to me how to do it? I.. just don't know how, and I'm scared to try tying my hair into a knot, so that's why I ask Kinda like this pic
if i had dreads that's what they would look like. clean and pulled back i think it looks good but this is coming from someone who can't stand tangly hair so it's somewhat irrelevant
Eeehhh? Jk post? You're starting to sound like Diton, just take two dreads from the back of your neck and wrap them around the hair and tie a knot at the top or underneath, depending on how long your hair is. You mean like this, yes? [/IMG]
my hair is too short for me to do this now, but this is how i did it on my last set of dreads i usually take one or two locks from right behind my ears, the do a simple over under knot with all the rest of my hair underneath the knot for a loose, tied back look. for a tighter, ponytail look i grab the same hairs from the same spot but wrap them around the rest of the hair once then tie the under over knot. though i'm not sure i would want to do that with such newly locked hair.... not really something i have reason for or against, its just in my mind its something i wouldnt do until they start to somewhat mature, might just be me being silly though.
that picture must be fake dreads. her hair is far too thick to have such immature dreads. and it looks like she just put a bobbin over them.............duh?
I use a hair elastic to tie mine back. Although my hair is long enough to use it, the ends are not dreaded and too slipperty to hold a dread ponytail in.
Best wait until you're locked up, BigRob91, you don't wanna unravel your twists by pulling them tight.
well, i usually do this by taking two (and not the same two every time) and tying them. not rocket science.
Did anyone tell the people on this thread how elitist they sound? Seriously, he only asked a question.
I think worldpeace made a tutorial on it awhile back. I don't feel like digging through the old threads though. She even included pics.
