I suppose I will keep updates in here...I have sent a message to the forum administrator asking if it was ok for me to hold a poetry contest with a piece of my intentions. So I guess I might call this the negotiation phase, what I can and cannot do, what is acceptable and what is not....and hopefully not the worst being no that I can't hold one. More to come later, again, feel free to contact me with anything of question, concerns, or just to talk.
well, I was just informed that I can't hold a contest that gives rewards. So I don't know, any ideas?
just a contest that gives some1 satisfaction of winning the love of their peers, or adoration, or whatever gears you into commotion to write more and more and more.
If people are willing to participate in a poetry contest, then you should hold it, there doesnt need to be a prize, outside of winning the contest. Ill participate.
Thank you budd and cryme, those were some replies that I was kinda looking for inside of me. I used to have a poetry zine online many years ago called "Poetry Does Wonders" when I had a lot of love for poetry before life turned into obstacles and now it's back but with an extreme case of writer's block. So I will hold it anyway. I'll be posting another thread later called "Leaves of the Epic poetry contest" for those who don't read this post. Basically here's how it goes then for now. I will hold this contest for several months. From now until March 31st. Send submissions to leaves_of_the_epic_sumbit@yahoo.com .... then they will be dispersed to some judges I have preselected, depending on amount of sumbissions I will be looking for more judges. So if any of you would like to be back up judges please PM me as soon as possible. 3 Winners will be selected and posted here under the thread title "Leaves of the Epic poetry contest" in the month of May. The 3 winners will have the choice of having an award certificate or not then since I can't give out anything bigger. Good luck to all thank you for participating and giving me something bigger to do with poetry again.
