I'm sure that this has been posted here a few times. But opinions change and so do people, so take the test and see where you land. Post your results. http://www.politicalcompass.org/test ---------- My results: Economic Left/Right: -9.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03
Oh no not this one again.... but what the heck. Economic Left/Right: 7.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.92
..And yet you decided to create yet *another* thread on the topic.. Not being a dick, just pointing out a important fact you seem to have overlooked: even though someone's position on the 'Political Compass' grid may have changed, she\he could still update within the same thread. Or even in the same sans-editing post indicate an prior evolution; e.g.: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showpost.php?p=7590895&postcount=22 I took it awhile ago and usually end up somewhere around +5 on the x-axis, -3 on the y-axis (+/- 2 or so for either), which is in contrast to most persons my age who fall in the far bottom left. Mine a Libertarian right right-leaning philosophy and more centrist than many. Economic Left/Right: -6.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.62 FROM the poll: "The chart also makes clear that, despite popular perceptions, the opposite of fascism is not communism but anarchism (ie liberal socialism), and that the opposite of communism ( i.e. an entirely state-planned economy) is neo-liberalism (i.e. extreme deregulated economy)"
I have taken this test too many times to care for taking it again. I recall being somewhere in the middle of the lower left.
It is not surprising at all, considering it is a political compass test rather than a religious compass test.

Politics and religion are both philosophies. Right wingers tend to be far more ridged in their religious philosophy than the left. But atheists are very ridged in their philosophy too. Agnostics like myself are much more open minded.
This thing seems to pop up every so often, but remember it’s only a bit of fun. The thing to me about it is that such ‘quizzes’ just confirms people in their beliefs it does not test them. As many know I’m intrigued by those that come here and post ideas that they are actually unable to defend from criticism. To really understand the meaning of the result of this quiz you’d have to ask people to explain why they answered the questions in the way they did.
