    BRITS IGNORED!

The police evacuating tourists in hotels have been descriminating against Brits and not evacuating them and telling them they must fend for themselves! They took the Americans but refused the Brits!

    Read it!
    http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1562517,00.html

This means they DO have a list of those they will rescue and those they won't!

Let me guess where poor black people are on that list!

Brits, when it comes to our country y'all just second class!

Get in line behind the black folk, please.

This is a complete pile of shit.. fashioning a discrimination policy from the words of a few and the words of disgruntled bunch of people ..is sad. In reality this logic of yours is bullshit. Seeing demons in clouds again..this is what you do [very well it has to be said].

"Gerrard Scott, 35, spoke to his brother Peter from the Ramada Hotel in New Orleans where he has been stranded without assistance with wife, Sandra, 38, and seven-year-old son Ronan for the past six days. 'Those that didn't fit their criteria were told to help themselves. The police said they were evacuating Americans, and took away the majority."

You need to look into special glasses for the computer.

There was also an interview with an young English guy who was trapped in the Superdome until yesterday. He said what he saw there was astonishing, and dangerous and he was one of the last ppl to leave I believe.

BTW, unlike the BBC, the Guardian has been right on with just about everything happening in the UK & the USA.

In fact they often reveal the facts that are being suppressed by the USA.

And they actually do INVESTIGATIVE journalism, something now illegal in the USA, apparently.

'Overall the mood among those trapped is good,' said Scott. 'It's a real league of nations, but they have all bonded.

you needed to read it all the way through... want my glasses..?

Why discuss something when you can just discredit everything reported and published on your say so.

Either CONTRIBUTE to this discussion, show us YOUR sources, or get out of it.

    You've been warned.

the press here has been bringing Australians out....however I think it has more to do with getting their story than anything else, otherwise there were probaly others that were needing the help more from what I could see....
    :(
have to say though that if a reporter turned up at a time like that offering you a ride out you would probably jump the chance to get out....what I don't really get though is if the reporters are getting in and out and over and over how come they other people aren't taking more people out that way and why do the officials say they are not allowed into the area when the press is obviously making it in?

    I'm confuddled!!

There was NO mention of sick or injured at the Ramada (other than the one with cancer), so you are all making an invalid point and ignoring the facts.

He said the MAJORITY of the Americans were taken out the Ramada. I'm sure they weren't all sick or injured. I'm sure they all mentioned they had attorneys however.

A british solicitor would be unlikely to impress the American police.

I'm sure they were in a good mood because they were helping themselves to the hotel's liquor, something I'm sure a lot of people would like.

You should be asking why the hell the police were even bothering with people with a place stay in, like a hotel, were being rescued.

I've had enough of your trolling in this thread.
