when i feel my heart , my country is just a spot of earth to sleep on .

It starts early. Stand with the rest of your little class mates. Hold your hand a certain accepted way. Genuflection before the cloth symbol. Look odd if you don't. More than likely sent to talk to a large adult who will explain why you have to do as the others do. Explanation being-" because I said so. Or everyone has to." Plastic gift-guns to point at one another, given by well meaning adults to help their children re-create the false little deaths that will increase exponentially through all the pervasive media as one gets older. Day by day. Constant reminders that WE'RE NUMBER ONE. Love it or leave it. Revere/pray for those of us sent to prove WE'RE NUMBER ONE by use of larger REAL guns. Accept what we're told. Do not question authority. Do not question those who are commonly understood to be your superiors. It goes on. And on. Takes a while to SEE instead of merely looking. Some will never do so. And even if we ALL learn to see the motivation and ultimate purpose behind the machinations---so what??
